Derived from "Game Day!" One of the most anticipated days of the week. All week long you're thinking about it, reminded of it. Playing the scenario out in your head. What do you have to do to your car? Tune it? Test it? Make adjustments. When you get home from work you want to steal a few minutes to run the course and see what your times are. To see where the danger lies and what you can do to get a few more milliseconds off your time. You want to see if you can run consistent laps.
Then you hear what others are running in their practice sessions. You want to see video of their runs to figure out what their doing to eke out those extra seconds. You tune some more. Maybe add a part here and there and adjust your engine power to conform to the reqs.
And then it's "Race Day!" Finally the big day has arrived. You may steal a lap or two before heading out the door. All day you're watching the clock. And going over in your mind again what your race plan is. When the clock strikes...you're racing home mad at the traffic cause it's race day!
You get home, grab a quick bite to eat then it's setting up your wheel and turning on the PS3. It's race day! You start to join the lounge but wonder why the host isn't there yet. So you get in your car and head to the practice track to wait until the host is in. You're running great laps, making a few adjustments, but you're ready!
You join the hosts lounge and some are already there. You say your greetings, double check the regs, go into the garage and make sure you're set-up is right. Then it's onto the track, because it's race day!
You run your qual laps trying to beat the best time already up. You want the pole! You're getting close, but you're not on the track alone. Now there's traffic to watch out for.
Finally the host signals everyone to the pits and presses the start button.
A week of anticipation and it's on! It's race day!
