So I'm cycling through the car lot looking for an Alfa DTM, and along the way, if I see any neat/rare cars, I'll pick them up. Now for the embarrassing question. I'm looking at a Subaru Impreza Sedan WRX STi Version IV '97, and I'm wondering if this is the coveted 22b that I keep hearing about. I'm 90% sure but I need other input! Please help!
 
Ok then, how can I tell if it's the 22b for future reference?
 
It has a 2.2 litre stroker engine, pumped up 'fat' guards, is probably wrx blue and should say 22B somewhere in the name.

I'm level 28 and I raced against one once but haven't seen it in the used car thing.
 
22b will be a 2 door with flared front and rear arches, also i dont think it comes with gold wheels

I always liked the pumped up guards and the fact that it had the increased displacement over the regular wrx's. Doesn't seem that special now with the current models running bigger engines but back then it was unique. Also it's pretty rare in the GT games and in the real world.
 
How funny, I never heard of this before reading this thread and I just went to the UCD and there one was! I picked it up to check it out. It does have gold rims. I like the flared body work too.

Yep awesome chunk of motoring right thurr.

I have even had the pleasure of taking one for a spin, I could notice quite a difference between it and my V5 :)
