I've seen D1 cars do successful donuts and...

Are (stationary) burnouts possible in gt4? I know you couldn't in gt3 :ouch:

Are you sure? i can do it and have many times.

If the car is FWD hold the hand brake and put flat throttle in first and it does a standstill burnout.

If RWD some cars let you hold brake plus throttle to get the revs up then you let go of the brake so it starts to spin then get back on the brake straight away and it also does a standstill burnout.

To do a standstill burnout 100% effectively and effortlessly in a RWD get a brake controller and apply all the brakes force to the front and no force on the rear ;) that way your front brakes stop the car from moving and your rear brakes have no pressure which allow the rear wheel to spin freely.

Woah. Triple post. It's possible to do it in Gt3. You just need to find the perfect balance between the brake and the gas to do it.

umm.. donuts compared to drifting.... first of all...they do have things in common(although some people may not think so....not callin any names..) throttle control... the higher your RPMS.. the quicker the donut..... more angle... blah blah...and of course you NEED throttle control in drifting.... my main thing is "small countersteered donuts" and of course figure 8's.... you should be able to do these..... this is how you really learn your throttle/steering control... and you just cant do it in GT4.......

Well basically, the game should allow doughnuts. The other games that do so suffer no ill effects. Just because you can do a donut doesn't mean that you will. I've played games that are doughnut-capable and the only time you do them is when you are pissed or you're turning off the game. Yeah, you might pull 20 donuts in a row, but it's cool, noone's going to hate you for it. It's not like every time you fire it up you're going to do doughnuts instead of race. Mmmm... donuts.

Yeah it was a forum glitch, Welcome to GTPlanet.

Almost 6 day now ;)

Yep, when it tells you there was a problem with the forum after trying to post, just close the window and go back to the main board. Your post will be there. I think if you select "refresh" or "try again" or whatever it says, it will repost it for you... :D

exactly, throttle control and see if your car could at least slide sideways in the direction you'd like (with the settings you have), preferabbly a donut shape path. if dyno testing is for drag cars, donuts (more stationary but not really stationary) are for drift cars.

stationary burnouts huh??? ive done those before n i thought it was jus fun to fool around after wiping out on a drift!...lol..but yeahh with a powerful car its possible

jus redline through first gear as soon as it gets going quick, hand brake, left or right turn, and power that sucker thru.....keep changing gears to not lose momentum...seems to work only for 4wd's....if anyone cares...peace 👍
