J turns

Out of curiosity, how do J turns effect your car? Is it different with different drivetrains? Can it break things?

It for the most part isn't different on any drivetrain since you aren't on the accelerator when you turn your wheel.

What do you mean by affecting your car? Are you asking if it will boost your car's power? no but seriously, if anything, you wear the tires a bit and warp the car's chassis (very minor issue).

I just was curious if you break anything. I've done it once. It's fun but not something I would do a lot. Lol no I'm not asking about performance...definitely isn't going to boost power.

If you do it wrong or hit a bump while turning, you COULD flip your car, then you'd be the idiot that flipped his car in a parking lot.

I've already done it once. And honestly I don't care to do it again. I was in an empty parking lot with a car fairly low to the ground. I wouldn't recommend doing it but I was just wondering if it tore the car up.

It's most likely fine. Cars are pretty durable. You'd have to J-turn into a pothole a few times before you start to damage your car.

Still, don't do it.

Are you kidding me, it has a name now? We have been doing that ever since James Bond did it 30+ years ago. I have never known anyone to damage a car much less flip it doing this stunt. Of course, there is a first time for everything I suppose and cars are not made the way they used to be. Having the skills needed to pull it off is another matter, you are on your own there.
