Watch This Widebody Jaguar F-Type Obliterate Pikes Peak
Don Law Racing's first trip to Pikes Peak made quite the impression.
If you've never heard of Don Law Racing, there's one thing that you need to know: They own all the rights to the Jaguar XJ220. That means that if you are buying a part for your XJ220, even if you don't get it directly from Don Law, you're getting it from Don Law.

Oh, they also own the Ford Transit that has an XJ220 drivetrain in it. They make parts deliveries with it.

So when they decided to take on Pikes Peak, it was natural that they'd choose on F-Type to be the car. They gave it CarbonRev wheels, a widebody treatment like RWB does to old 911s, stripped out the interior, added a cage, and threw on some ridiculous aero for good measure.

But mechanically, this is a nearly stock F-Type R. That makes the time of 10:46, one minute behind perennial front runner Jeff Zwart, up the hill pretty damn impressive.

What's even more impressive is that Justin Law, the driver and Goodwood Hillclimb veteran, had never been to Pikes Peak before. So, a car that had never run up the hill with a driver who didn't learn the course till the week of the race mixed it up with veterans that had been there for ages.

That's crazy.

Here's the car running up the hill. That F-Type V8 sounds great no matter what it's doing.

Let me get this straight..

A Pikes Peak Jaguar F-Type? From the same Don Law Racing that made these XJ220s?
