A thread about some obscure standard quality Jaguar that looks like the typical luxury barn on wheels.

Why? Because it sounds like a bloody tractor! No, I am not trying to overstate things here. it really, positively, sounds like a tractor. Take it out for a drive and see for yourself. Particularly the chase cam sound; you could blindfold someone and let em listen to it, they'd tell you it's a tractor.

It's also very mute; no sound at all during braking. It's absolutely nothing like the real thing, in so far as I can find. This could quite well be the worst sounding car in the game.

Particularly sad, because it is in fact a supercar by any standard... It handles surprisingly well.

edit: aaand I just noticed this is not actually a question thread anymore. I sure intended it to be one, but forgot how. :rolleyes:
 
When your speakers have proper bass, that exact Jaguar sound at low to mid RPM is actually one of the best sounds in the game. It's similar to the AMG kind of V8 bark, but with much smoother shifts as the stock gearbox of the S Type and XK R '02 are torque converters.

I've got a decent hi-fi setup and the Jag still sounds like a tractor. But all V8 Jags sound like crap in Gran Turismo, imo.
Come to think of it, PD's V8 game in general is pretty embarrassing.
