I am interested to know more about the Jaguar XJR-9 LM Race Car ‘88. I know it's naturally aspirated, high displacement. So, how much can be squeezed out of this car? Can you apply turbos or an SC for this one? Seems like it could really be a monster if you go FI with it. But I want to make sure I can do that before emptying out my account to buy it.

Anyone? or any other thoughts?

I really like the car but I am not sure if you can add turbos to it. I prefer to leave them stock.

I think you can get a turbo on it. 'Stock' it has 910ish horsepower. I saw garages with 1000+ horsepower XJR-9's.

how's it compare to a high RPM turbo'd Minolta? my Minolta has 1040 hp and eats closed wheel cars for lunch at Indy. no need for the Jag if the Minolta is faster. but i'm also interested to use the Jag in other races too.

haven't driven the Sauber, although i've read about it. still hoping to hear a comparison to the Minolta, or get an answer about FI options for the Jag. anyone?

EDIT: thanks Buzzy. :)

I have all the Group C cars & the Sauber C9 is one of my favs. The Jag can be a handful in the wet, likes to understeer & yes the Stg 3 turbo can be bought for it.

The Minolta is probably the most forgiving & easiest of the Group C cars to drive fast.

I think the Minolta is better, my XJR-9 has 1007bhp and you can install turbo kits, if I was you I would trade for it rather than buy it.

Just sayin' my Minolta sits with 1041 hp in it. It's cheaper then the Jaguar too if ya haven't already won it in Like The Wind.

Minoltas don't seem to like gear changing while accelerating up out of turns though. That's just from my experience. It's been like that since before I touched it. I have it tuned to be blazing on ovals now though. Perfect for grinding at Indy
