Are you ready to just race with your best, most fast JDM car? Well get ready for the JDM Super Tuner Racing League. You will have exactly two weeks to build your Super Tuner, have it already? No problem. Pat yourself for being ahead of the game. You can just spend these two weeks to tweak and tune your car to perfection.

:CARS TO CHOOSE:​

The cars are pretty simple, so lets not waste anymore time!

Anything from Nissan, Toyota, Mazda, Lexas, Honda, Acura, Infinity, Mistubishi, Subaru, Izuzu, Suzuki, Daihatsu, and Tommy Kaira. The tuned cars, G27 for example, are allowed as long as the base car is Japanese. Easy right? Oh it gets trickier. :)

RULES AND REGULATIONS​

This is the hard part. So make sure when you sign up be sure you have read, and re-read it.


  • PP must be 700 PP or less or 550 or less

  • Any Modifications

  • Don't limit your car too much to make PP rules, only a little allowed. (85%)

  • Racing Hard/Medium/Soft Tires only

  • No Cussing, Rudeness, or Being a downright Jack***

  • No Spinning people out or crashing them on purpose

RACES​

The races will be held on April 9th, 2011. Half the pack will run as 550 PP or less cars, and the other half will race as 700 PP or less cars. Each race will be about 30 minutes long. The finals will be about 35-50 minutes long. The races will all start out sunny, but weather could turn nasty. I will have grip reducter set to real, so watch the weather radar! :)

Tsukuba-30 Laps Will be held, April 9th, 2011 at 2:00 PM (GMT-6:00) or (US central time)

Suzuka-15 Laps April 16th, 2011 at 2:00 PM (GMT -6:00) or (US central time)

SSR7-4 Laps April 23rd, 2011 at 2:00 PM (GMT -6:00) or (US central time)

Then the finals will be held the next weekend. The finnal races will be...

Nurburgring 4 HR Layout-5 Laps, Weather Change/Time April 30th, 2011 at 1:00 PM (GMT -6:00) or (US central time)

Circuit de la Sarthe- 7 Laps, Weather Change/Time May 8th, 2011 at 1:00 PM (GMT -6:00) or (US central time)

The two final races will be held at night for more difficulty. To futher test your skills we will set it at dynamic weather, meaning a pit stop will be recommended to retain perfect traction and not lose your chances at winning.

*REMEMBER, PIT STOPS ARE RECCOMENDED, BUT NOT REQUIRED*

Mate sounds great but, I am unsure of your PP restrictions, are you going to run, 550pp and 700pp, or is it just limited to 700pp (700pp is quite high BTW imo)

maybey there could be 2 classes 550pp class, and 700pp, half the field runs 550pp cars and the other half runs 700pp...... could be entertaining..... I could be keen thats for sure
 
Nice idea, but I don't understand why you don't just set a single PP limit. Then you'll have the greatest likelihood of close racing. And what's wrong with the power limiter and ballast? If a car can pass the rules and regs, what's the problem?

Also, you might consider having a slightly greater gap in the number of points awarded between first and second, instead of just 5, then 10 between second and third and so on. With more points for first, there's greater incentive to fight for the win. That's how almost all championship points systems are organised.

I'm just worried someone might use the Power Limiter to have an 800PP car down to 700 and blow by the rest of the people. I'm going to rethink a couple of rules. I'll update the OP with the additions.
 
It seems to me that 700 is pretty high for tuned road cars. I find that 550-600 is a good range for most cars, to ensure good variety of machines with reasonably close performance. But that's just what I've found over time...

Also, if no power limiter was allowed, there'd be no way to actually enforce the rule.

I had to set it to 700 to allow some of the higher perfomance cars in. (GTR, LFA, enven the R34.) But thats also why I've switched it to seperate pack racing.
 
Cool, so this is very much higher-end in performance. Would you also allow tuner specials of Japanese cars, like High End G37? Not sure if the company is Japanese or American...

You have a date and time you plan on doing?

If it works for me I'll be in, and you guys will feel the fire from my Godzilla R32, or the smooth touch of my ice cold blue R34.
 
I have a collection of decent tuned J-cars around the 550PP mark. I'd be happy to take part, but only if it's at a reasonable hour (I'm GMT+1). What time of day/night are you planning to host it?
 
I'm in. Not sure what car i'll use yet so i'll get back to you. 👍

Alright guys I updated the OP with date and time of each event. Thanks guys for your patience when my internet was down, otherwise I would have helped out sooner.
 
Schweet, timing is perfect. One thing though, you don't reckon the first three races are a bit short in duration...?

We will probably extend them, maybe even the finals. Maybe 9 or 10 laps?
 
Considering the week-long separation of each race, they want to be long enough. I'd say roughly a half-hour duration. You might then get pitstops as well. Maybe the Le Mans Finale could be a bit longer, perhaps starting in the daytime and finishing at night? What do you reckon?

And another thing (I know I've been asking a lot, but I'd love to see this series work well!!), could you label each entrant in the signup sheet with their chosen class (550/700), when they've chosen? It's good to know your opposition...
 
Unfortunately I wont be be able to make any of the times because its too early in my time zone. Sorry.

That's a good idea. And don't worry, asking a lot is a good think because this series has been looking a lot better now. I'll edit the OP when I get on my computer. I also think maybe to test some of the cars on the Top Gear Test Track to compare lap times before the race.

I wouldn't mind joining. This sounds like good fun actually. I just need to know wether the event is held 6pm GMT or 6am GMT. As for car, I'll have to get back to you on that as I have a few cars I need to test out. Oh and I'll probably be joining the 550PP section. :)👍

Open Lobby. Race start is about 15-20 minutes after to let everyone in.
 
If its at 8PM on a saturday I cant do it.
