Did a short review of it a few months ago... It's very traditional, with a predictable story and all the trappings of a traditional Kung-fu movie. Unfortunately, one of those traditions is cheesy acting by third rate american actors stuffed into a Chinese story. I'm not talking about Michael Angarano himself, as he did a decent job, but the scenes in the modern-day US of A look like they come straight out of a made-for-TV 70's kung fu film.
Take away the book-ends and the clumsy romantic angle, and the movie is a wonderful kung-fu romp. Great performances by Jet Li and Jackie Chan, and the fight scene between Jackie and Jet is a classic.
