Off course excursions tolerated if not used to gain time, must basically be a driver error. Otherwise the basic online racing rules are in effect.

2 wheels on track at all times
Rumble strips are part of the track
No wall riding
No wall touching
No short cutting
No cheating of any kind

Well, I'd like this week to be worth points, as I like the ring, but it appears the exhibition aspect of it won't allow it?

If it's not worth points, then sure, anyone can race. 👍

I would say only JGTC drivers, to keep it in the family so to speak, but my guess is that some will not compete due to this round not counting in the standings... (shrugs)
 
Well as im allowed to run this for fun, i will because i have just learned the Nurb from running in week 91 in the WRS. Anyway here is my first JGTC car time on this track, hope you like :)

Ran a few laps in the WoodOne Supra on RSS's, fastest lap was a 6'08.xxx. I want to try a few more laps before I post anything offical, probably another 3 to 4 seconds left in it for me.

Going to try after the Takata NSX on RM's after im done with the Supra, but for now I need some sleep.
 
It's not the fastest time on so far, but I have just done the fastest, scariest, twitchiest lap of the ring I have EVER done!:scared:

Obviously, it's in the RX7.:sly:

A 6'15.641!

Made some mistakes, like not hitting 2nd in the Karosell, out braking myself slightly in a couple of the sharper corners in the 2nd half, hitting a couple of the wrong curbs, etc.
But I have to say, it certainly got the old ticker thumping! :D

And on the subject of whether this should be open to all........I say YES! But I would also like points too!
Maybe, two sets of results, one for the open comp, and one for just the JGTC drivers with points?
Either way......

This week is gonna be fun!

Any chance of extending the deadline to give us two weeks, Eats? Seeing as we have SO many cars we can try.:bowdown:

Man, the RX7's suspension is so stiff every little bump is an experience, after my first lap I followed my ghost for awhile and sparks were continuously flying off the rear, does get the ticker going as Neil pointed out. Must be a bit rusty at the Ring, after my first lap I looked at the standings and saw that I ran faster in the '62 Buick....3 times !! I have some work to do!
 
So you mean anyone can race? Maybe I will give it a try, need to break in my new DFP anyways:sly:.

so only if you can send replays then you can compete? I'm a bit confused as I'm very interested in doing this.

Tire Set : RSS's

Very scary lap, you certainly notice every bump when you're using a car with such a stiff suspension set-up. Might try this car again on RM's before moving on to the NSX, just to see how much difference the tire choice makes.
 
I tried a few cars today, saw time's like 6:07:xxx fron the RX-8 on RSS.
And a 6:08:xxx from the RX-7 on RSS. Still time left in both so I may try again.
 
I'm having fun with this !

First session in RX7: 6'21.997 RM/RM

I don't like soft tires so I'll try to run as many cars as possible with RM tires.
 
I did try the RX-8 with RM's, did something like a 6:29:xxx with. Still time left in it tho.
 
Got the WoodOne Supra on RM's down to a 6'16.130 tonight. I think I can get another 2 seconds off that, providing a can put a full lap together.

think I'm passing on this week at the Ring, sleep was more important.
Instead I'll start putting some time into a points race, getting use to the track, that type of thing.

I do like the idea there Eat's. The break as well as maybe getting some others into the series.
 
Ran the RX-7 for about 40 minutes tonight and got my lap down to a 6'18.035. I'm not happy with the lap, but it will have to do.
 
I didn't have as much time this weekend as I would've liked to run this, but a decent time submitted, I think. I'm not terribly good at the Ring, but this was certainly a fun mid-season break 👍

I managed a slightly sloppy 6'15.672 in the RX-8.

Looking forward to the 2nd half of the season :trouble:
