Okay folks there is a nice little variety in the race prepped NSX catergory. Being as they're all over a million to own I was wondering if any particular team model is better than the other.

In GT3 I had the Ray and Mugen and I preffered the Ray personally. This time out in GT4 however I decided to buy the mobil 1 NSX.

Now is there any real difference in fully tuned horsepower between these cars? Anyone find that one particular team's version handles better than the others?

The Takata is the best you can buy.
However, the LeMans GT1 NSX=650Hp is the best NSX in the game. But its not exactly JGTC.

Sorry for bringing this back from the dead but this is the exact topic that I wanted to know more about.

I find it weird that the Takata NSX is the best considering that the other cars are 30kg lighter.

Has anyone actually tested this theory? If so, exactly why is the Takata better?
 
I'm having problems with my JGTC NSX's. I find that it tends to understeer a bit into and out of corners, but the main problem is that turning into corners tends to cause the back to snap out in a BIG way if it does not understeer- almost uncatchable if you are going above 120-130mph. I've tried stiffening the rear up but to no avail. The problem is worse when you trail-brake - Ive checked and the brakes are not locking (since when do rear brakes lock-up before the front with an even bias - the weight transfers over the front). Does anyone have any set-ups/tips on how to cure this, and make the NSX racers as enjoyable as they were in GT3?

Loosen up the whole car. It sounds to me that you don´t get much weight transfer at all, simply because your suspension is too hard. That leaves a lot of weight to the rear, as you have the engine right behind the drivers seat.
Try this suspension; (for a somewhat smooth roadsurface)

Rideheight: 70/70
Bound: 4/4
Rebound: 8/8
Camber: 2.5/1.5
Toe: 1/-2
Stabilisers: 5/5

After much experimentation, I derived the following set-up. It gives much improved turn-in, and removes the stiff feel of the car; it certainly gives me a lot more confidence in the car when I race it now. Lift-off oversteer now occurs, and can be controlled; however, it still occasionally snaps out with severe changes in direction at high speed, typically under braking/off-throttle, although not to the extent it did to start with - sometimes it can be caught! It seems to be the LSD that causes this effect, but I have yet to find a setting that eliminates it completely. Hope this is of some use to someone.
