I haven't glanced at the video, but based on its location, I think I've seen it before, and it's been posted before. But if it is something different from the JGTC video, then I haven't seen it yet, so disregard this reply if indeed it is the case.

First race was on the 4th of April. I missed it and I remember being pissed off ... :D

This vid is a lot like last years, I hadn't seen this years video yet.
 
It's not suprising to see something like that really, Sony owns the official JGTC license after all and GT is sucha big name. Nice though thanks for the link.
 
damn where can i see the jgtc races:banghead: i dont want to miss the second one. is there somewhere we can download them? speed dont air them.

If I saw it right, according to the video you just watched Speed does air them. Just look, there is a section where it shows which channel broadcasts JGTC in which part of the world.

In the USA Speed channel DOES air JGTC races but just like the DTM series it doesn't actually show them during the season, rather they package them into 1 hour shows and show them in the 4th quarter into the winter (Oct-Jan)

I watched most of last season's JGTC races over the winter....

I know, as I watched JGTC, DTM, ETCC and BTCC on SPEED during the winter too, but they are not "LIVE". That is what I am fustrated about. :irked:

Ya well, Speed channel's 1,000,000 hours of NASCAR coverage per week fills up their time slots. (don't jump on me I do enjoy NASCAR with a passing interest, but i wouldn't call myself an avid fan like with F1 or the WRC)

The thing I noticed about speed recently is they are showing bobsledding....monster trucks...freestyle motorcross...all that **** that I don't want to see.....so they could show JGTC races more I think, even live, though that would put them around 3am EST for me....uggh

I hear you there buddy, but as long as they have F1 and WRC, I guess I can't complain too much. :rolleyes:

BTW, the show I hated most is that stupid "Tuner Transformation" POS show. :banghead:
 
Actually, they're not even 1 hour recaps. They are 30 minutes!!!! Way too short. They could definitely cut some Nascar out to give us at least an hour.

Actually, Speed Channel does air JGTC racing events in the late Spring, and Summer. But, it airs at 2:00AM EST. The races shown are from the previous season, and are a hour long, edited show. It's better than nothing, though.

Yeah, it's a one hour show, but they show two racing events, usually. It sucks, but it's better than nothing.
 
You know, a good idea concerning DTM and JGTC coverage and stuff like that, is having same-day coverage of race events. If you know you can't have them live, you're best off doing what Ralph Sheheen does with the WRC coverage. One time on Speed News, SPEED commentator Leigh Diffey of Australia, made a news report about someone going to the DTM series. Now I know that a lot of people like NASCAR, so that's why I think more variety should be added. You want to cover a WORLD of motorsports? Well, the world doesn't have two straights and 3 or 4 corners. So do real racing fans a favor... just increase the variety. It doesn't mean you have to abandon NASCAR for good, just increase some of the variety, you know? What about Formula Nippon for example? I'm not big on open-wheel racing, but it's as much as exciting as the JGTC.
 
Live Coverage costs more money. Be glad you get any coverage at all.

Before FOX started to pour money into Speed Channel (SpeedVision at the time) by giving them all the NASCAR stuff, Speed Channel didn't have live coverage of ALMS (besides Sebring), F1, WRC, MotoGP, and there wasn't even a Speed GT Series. The possibilities of having JGTC, DTM, ETCC, BTCC at all were literally impossible.

Face it, if you want the coverage of non-NASCAR sports that Speed carries now, then you're forced to live with all the NASCAR shows, because they are what bring the money to make Speed Channel possible.
 
Not entirely true. Before all the NASCAR was added, they did show F1 live, WRC same day (which is what we still get), and BTCC at seasons end. And they also had Speed GT series at least a couple of years before that. We're you watching?
 
They didn't have those things when SpeedVision started though. They only picked up F1 last year, which is when FOX owned the network.

NASCAR killed Speedvision. I'll give mad props to Speed Channel for its road racing. They really stepped up. They can, however, make the 24 Hours of Le Mans and the Petit Le Mans WITHOUT NASCAR. And if you want to get away from the action, just show some Sebring highlights, Le Mans highlights from last year, maybe even the Le Mans movie (I haven't seen). But for the most part, Speed has stepped up.

I think same day would work well. Only thing is, Speed News needs to talk about DTM and JGTC and stuff. I mean, you probably can't put that on FOX Sports World, because that's mostly a soccer channel (I do like rugby, though). So Speed has to do something if they want to enhance their racing coverage. FOX has money. Speed has money. Show for it, already!
 
Same day would be impossible...do you know how many racing series run on Sunday?
 
It looks like the AI's been updated.
The only thing the GT series miss is the hard battle about the
first place. The track has also been better (judging by the pics)
