JGTC S4 Round 3 Race + Results

Zeratul, it could've been worse. At least you only served half the penalty.

I had NO time to race this week, up until I got home 5 hours before the deadline today. Only to find that my computer wouldn't turn on. I'm on my old crappy laptop that barely has enough memory to use the internet!!! I spent a couple hours pissed and messing around with my main computer, and also was trying to figure out what I am doing tonight as my original plans fell through. So, my mind's been ELSEWHERE to say the least. Damnit. Damnit damnit!

RM/RM tires for each stint. Pits on laps 7, 14, 23,(changed strategy halfway into it because I ran out of time to play) TWO FULL PENALTIES AND A FINISH IN THE PITS!!! Not enough time to put in my best this week. Having my mind on 3 other things at this very moment definitely didn't allow me to concentrate either. Damnit!

I may get some points for the fastest lap though, mid 1'15. Sadly, even that wasn't what I should've been capable of(high 1'14 I think with an empty tank still on RM tires... :grumpy:).
 
Just woke up from last night, results should be up there pretty soon. :)

Don't forget, the less submitted times we get the more our weight penalty system gets screwed up. We will gain more than loose, this system was based on a 15 or so entrants number...not 10 or less
 
Dang, I told ya'll I own SSR5 :) I really do love that course and have many hundreds of laps on it.

Way off subject, but some info for ya. I transfered GT4 to my PS3 just to see if there were any differences, well the graphics are better running it thru the PS3 BUT the DFP doesn't work with it :(. Tomorrow I'll have my wireless connection up and will download GTHD Demo which I understand does support the DFP BUT without Force Feedback:(. I've spent a small forune buying PS3, wireless router and a 32" HD TV, so I'm more then a little upset.
On the plus side I played a PS3 FPS game and the graphics are fantastic and gameplay is great. The best part of PS3 FPS games is when working on a level and you get killed and must restart, unlike PS2 games , all the obstacles and bad guys are different everytime so you can't memorize the game, makes it much harder but much less boring redoing the exact same scenario each time.
I'll give ya an update on GTHD Demo once my router is up and running, spent 2 hours with a tech guy last night trying to get the router hooked up but we couldn't access my Modem, so we're trying again tomorrow.

But PS2 games do look much better on the PS3 with HD TV.

You're lucky I didn't have any time to play! :-P Congrats man!

And I'm jealous of you with a PS3 and HD... I can imagine GT4's MUCH better on that than my setup, I just have a regular 27" flat screen and some random RCA(?) cables. Sometimes I even have to wear my glasses to see things as well as I want to! I could get some S-video or whatever the other stuff is, but I think I'll just wait for when I get a HD TV. Someday!
 
Sorry with not submitting, I stupidly forgot to submit before I left to go away for a couple of days for the new year.

I think it is a VERY GOOD lap time on softs,Zeratul,especially with +3% weight penalty.👍
If you haven't gain that forced pit penalty you could be 4th...but no better...these guys were really tough this time.

Good point about the penalty GTX :( Oh well, at least the fastest lap makes up for a bit. Congrats to Drew for taking the win, and to the rest of the podium finishers 👍
 
Sorry, I missed the race. It was Saturday afternoon. I was just settling in to run it when some joker blew the power circuit for the whole apartment complex (probably electrocuted himself with his decorations). The power was out for at least 4 hours, at which point I had to leave for the weekend.

S3 has not been kind to me.
