Could I get mine changed to Cam, instead of Cameron? The only person that calls me Cameron these days is my mum.

Umm... Did I get a time-warp? I landed in JGTC S4 for some reason... Last time I looked, I raced the Xanavi HIROTO during S3.

I need to ask about S4 and it's probability and timing - I won't be able to do much racing after this month, since the 'Bagrut' tests start on May (Some big tests which determine my future in University). Might even ask to get myself banned until June 24th (last test is on that day)... So, is it gonna be, and when?

EDIT: Just got some starts done... One heck of a combo. That Xanavi fits the lines perfectly, and the AI keep out of the way. But it's hard to be consistant at Suzuka.

(Note: Anything about the Xanavi's performance is because I haven't tried another car)

get yourself banned so you aren't tempted.

Names right for me. I hate this track...looks like i won't be following the podium with another one this week. Oh well.

👍 Eats.(or do you have a shorter version of your name that we can call ya? :p)

I did a few shorter sessions of this last night. Twas nice to actually do something ahead of time for once. I'm a little less busy this week, but it's too little too late, for sure. I'll be giving it more than I have the past few weeks though, :sly:.

Man, this is a disaster. AI throwing me off the track and giving me nudges left and right. Not cool. I think PD forgot to actually play the game before they released it. Kinda hard to believe though considering they took sooooooooooo long to release it in the first place. Blah.

Americans have a hard time saying it.... thus the J.R.
With Americans, it's always best to keep it simple

As promised, some pics from the Geneva Motor Show. I thought you guys might get a kick outta these ones:

She's a beautiful beast in RL :D

Yeah, I managed to snap 'em just before my camera battery died. In one of the pics you can just see the standard 350Z in the background, which made for an interesting contrast sitting right next to this one.

I also have some slightly fuzzy pics of an R34 Skyline GT-R race spec, and a Porsche LMP car which I managed to get half a pic of (considering the Porsche exhibit was the most crowded one there).

Some other highlights: Bugatti Veyron, Zonda R, Koenigsegg CCX and CCXR (the front spoiler was touching the carpet, not sure how that thing goes anyplace), 2007 Ferrari and Honda (Earth) F1 cars, DTM AMG Mercedes, the new Camaro Concept, the new Alfa Coupe, and a badass-looking Lexus concept sports car. More pedestrian highlights were the new Mercedes C Class, new BMW X5 and 3-Series convertible, Audi A5 and S5, and the Dodge Demon.

On a side note (and I'm getting REALLY off-topic here, so I apologize for those not interested), I'm looking for a car here in Switzerland, so I test drove a Honda S2000 the other day (first time I've been in one). Man, what an engine note! Beautiful car, beautiful engine, beautiful handling, but just too damn small for me (I'm 6'2") :(

Right...now back to your regularly scheduled broadcast...

Ok guys, what kind of lap times are you getting ? I think I can squeeze into 1'53s in free run without AI

I managed a 1'52.x in my last run after some tweaking with the gear ratios, but that was in Single Race with AI. I love Suzuka as a very challenging technical track, but it's definitely not my best.

BTW, I would be weary of free run from a timing perspective, as the car has no fuel weight!

Well,Zeratul,You are faster than me - again.
I did a 1'53.280,but I think it couldn't be better with this car.To keep the laptimes down under 1'54.xxx is too hard and too risky for me.:scared: If something bad happens I need to restart the qualifying race,so i think it's better to slow down a little bit and to be at the finishline.
My car has the power, but little bit understeered.Next time I'll choose the Pitwork Nissan...to see,how I compare to you,Steve.:)

Time Sent.

Ended up with a 1:55.xxx. Suzuka isn't my best track, i'm not very good at long sweepers and this one is full of them. The AI gave me fits. a really fun race with the McLaren each of the 7 times i ran this race, with MOV only .455s as the LONGEST one.

Anyway, Time sent, spending the weekend testing races for GTPLMS (check it out!) and downing brew...i love the weekend.

Done my final runs today (1 day early for a change) and managed to chop 5 seconds off my previous best run and got a 1'54.1xx fastest lap.

The AI were a complete pain in the S-curves, anti-banked, Dunlop and Degner corners in the first lap. But once I got into the lead into Spoon, it was pretty much smooth sailing. No hassle from them at all, once I broke away through Casio and down the straight.

To be honest, I wrenched my left knee yesterday, displaced the ligaments, and strained the tendons. So driving competatively for a long period ( ie stitting down and racing hard for two or three hours) is competely out of the question. Therefore I am pleased to have got a good run in early for a change.

Might do some more tyre testing for the LMS later, once the painkillers have settled in for the duration.

Neil

Yeeeeeouch! :scared: How'd you manage that? Sorry to hear that man! Painful!

If the quick guys are struggling to get good laps in, I'll just do a banker then, no need to push myself if there's no chance what so ever... We'll see how the race turns out though. :)

I was out walking the dogs, and stumbled over a tree root that was hidden by some foliage.
Heard the pops, and crunch before I felt it, and knew I was in trouble.

Took me an hour to hobble the 1/2 mile back home!

It's not unusual for me to have a sore knee or two (too many full-gear CFT's, assault courses and exercises in the forces coupled with a few over-extension slips whilst playing county level Badminton and Squash when I was younger)
But it has been a while since I have hurt it in such good fashion.

Ah well!, it'll be cheaper on the beer this weekend, what with the painkillers and such!
But as I 'drive' two footed (left foot braking), it's a little uncomfortable.

Neil

Hey partner, sorry about your clumsiness..umm, I mean accident. What with you hurt and me fat and slow we're in trouble, but your hotlap makes me happy, I've hit a 1'55.2xx , but I'll have another go tonight while not under the influence of any drugs.

Hey guys... sorry for disappearing. The past two weeks have been too busy for any gaming. I started a new job (IT support) and have been working my ass off to impress the bosses.

Additionally, I don't have a PS2, wheel, PC, or Internet connected because I just moved to a new apartment. I'm posting from my friend's place.

Well, I don't know when I'll be back but it will happen.

I understand Neil.... getting old bites :ouch:
I did my knee last year, took about 3 months for this old codger to heal enough to walk without pain :(

I've done some attempts at the qual and am not happy !
Getting into the lead takes until the hairpin after the underpass :yuck:
Did a fast lap of 1:55.1xx and wasn't happy about it, considering there are :52's being bantered about. Then again, I don't qual that well :dunce:

This meager 9 point lead with 2 races left is making me :scared:

Thinking about a 2 stopper for the race on RM's.... we'll see

watch out for the boss, he likes this track !

That's what I'm thinking. Going to go and run this for the first (and most probably only) time now, just to avoid the 10 second penalty.

Edit: Took longer than I expected to run a clean race, but I finally got it... too bad it's awfully slow. Fast lap is 1'55.913. Sending time in now.

I'm sorry to inform you guys, but I'm going all out... Dunno why, it's not like it's going to be worth much, but I'm in the mood. Got pissed at the AI, saw how much more speed I can get than some of the fastest laps posted, so I have a chance at some points here. I'm going to get them. Filter/Crystal Method "Trip Like I Do" is blasting in the background.

One or two points here I come!

EDIT: That'll do'er. Not perfect, but pretty damn quick anyway if I must say so myself. Fastest lap was the last, just the way it should've been, with a 1'53.695. That was the fastest lap I had seen, and the lap before that was my fastest lap before that, and my first lap was the fastest first lap I had seen... COOL!

You guys are all going to be fighting for second place during race week... :sly:

I'll not deny the Pitworks Z is a very good car. Close to perfect balance for my driving style, and a very "torquey" engine. To be honest I'm very surprised by the laptimes people are mentioning so far. I usually don't fare very well at Suzuka :odd:

Time submitted. Managed a 1'52.x fast lap and a fairly solid run. Good luck all 👍
