Been playing about with some of the JGTC cars latley and thought It would make a good race series although probably it has been done before.

Looking at a long championship with race's being around 15 to twenty laps. It would be good to have tyre wear as this promotes race strategy rather than just running supersofts.

Cars: any JGTC car can compete in the championship (if theres enough interst I'll post a list of cars) but on a first serve basis (once the car has been selected by a competitor no other entrant can use it....may be fun to allow two of each type of car to compete as a team enabling a drivers and team championship to be run) No modifications will be allowed to the car other than tyres (you can use what you want) and an oil change.

Haven't thought about the circuits to use at the mo but I guess the in game JGTC (pro level) would be the ideal choice.

What do you think????

Are you including GT300 cars? You'd have to either mod them to a certain level & test them to ensure equality or set a second class.

GT500s:
Toyota Castrol Tom's Supra JGTC
Toyota Denso Sard Supra JGTC
Nissan Pennzoil Skyline JGTC
Nissan Loctite Zexel Skyline JGTC
Nissan Calsonic Skyline JGTC
Honda ARTA NSX
Honda Castrol Mugen NSX
Honda Raybrig NSX
(Lamborghini Nomad Diablo JGTC)

GT300s:
Toyota SuperAutoBacs Apex MR-S
Honda Spoon S2000 Race Car

It would have to be a second class for the GT300's

forgot the Razo Silvia mate;) in the GT300 class

You're going to have a tough time picking tracks that insure that whoever picks the Supra or Tom's hasn't won beforehand or at least an incredible advantage. A better idea would be, I think, to do something like I proposed in the STRCCS where you are allowed to pick which car you want to use for a race, but each car may only be used once during the series. Then you have to think yourself which car is best suited for a track, a bit of strategy is involved, races will still usually be run with different cars, but in theory everyone has equal chances.

cheers Arwin good idea........as always......just getting a bit of practice in some of the JGTC cars.....even if its on slicks ;)

OFF TOPIC
