At 18 years and 21 days old, just barely past the age limit, Joey Logano won his first NASCAR Nationwide Series race, the youngest to ever win the Nationwide series.

That Nationwide series is NASCAR's 2nd tier racing series.

His nickname is "Sliced Bread", as in the best thing since sliced bread.

If you got a chance to see him win his first race at Kentucky speedway like me you got to see the beginning of a new era in stock car racing, the Joey Logano era.

He was able to hold off Sprint Cup Points leader Kyle Busch in the closing laps until Busch crashed trying to catch him.

He drives for Joe Gibbs racing and they have confirmed he will race in the Sprint cup series before the end of the year. He will run the rest of the Nationwide races this year.

Don't count your chickens before they hatch. Yeah, he's showing a ton of talent, but you never, ever, should raise your expectations that high.

yeah

Look at Dave Gililand. He won one race race a couple years ago and they shot him into a spot in the NNS before his talent was matured.
