Well this is wierd; Got a 2010 ticket as a prize from a online photo competition I won recently. And as you've already guessed, what I got from it was th Joy Logano #20 Stealth Car.
I tried using it but I get the message saying that the car is not installed and needs to be installed again. Did a bit of looking up on the internet and I gather the car was part of a pre-order voucher of some sort and needs a Redeem code.

What should I be doing? Do I need a redeem code? If so, will the code still be active, because I read that it should be.

If I really can't use the car I'll just have to keep it i my garage as a show-piece :sly:
 
You need the code to download the activation file for that car, it's a glitch that you can even get it from that ticket in the first place, would have thought they had patched that a long while ago. Even if you got a code, it's highly doubtful it would work now.
 
Codes for that car have long since expired. If you didn't have the car from the code in the first place, then it is unusable to you.
 
unusable eh? Well that sucks. And quite a waste of a ticket too. They should really patch this.

Can't be a show piece either i'm afraid.

That car won't even save. If you leave the game and load it again, it'll be gone
