GTPlanet World Challenge Series
Three classes of cars running on the same track at the same time, sports and GT cars in the top-tier GT class, sports cars and sedans in the GTS class and more attainable touring cars in TC. Enough laps where traffic comes into play, but short enough races that virtually anyone can play. I’d like to race Saturday. Green flag would come early afternoon Pacific, late afternoon Eastern, evenings in Europe... but we can discuss that herein.
Classes of Competition

- Required Mods: Stage 3 Weight Reduction, Chassis reinforcement, window weight reduction, carbon hood.
- Soft Racing tires only.

Entry:
When registering entry to the championship feel free to write the car that you will use in the thread. Please give me your modifications, horsepower, weight and its PP in private message (don’t need them immediately, do some testing first and sort out a car that drives best for you, you may already have a legal car).
I want this championship to put the emphasis on guys racing their favourite car engineered as they want it, not just the lightest or most powerful cars within the PP limitations. PP will provide close racing, like real racing I reserve the right to performance balance as I see fit. All that said DO NOT post horsepower, weight, and PP ratings in this thread. There are 5 slots available per class, 16 people will be allowed in the race, the 16th naturally is me, I am the clerk of the course, safety car driver, safety team, on-site doctor, corner marshal etc. etc. etc.
Post the following...
GTPlanet Name:
PSNID:
Car:
Class:
Considering there is a maximum of five entries per class, there is no room for a team’s championship.
If you want to change cars, please request the change, explaining what the problem is with your current entry. I don’t want a horse for every course; I don’t want a bunch of class changes, particularly with there being so few grid spots to start with.
Entry list will appear at the bottom of this post.
World Challenge Code (The Rules):
The usual GTPlanet Online Racing rules apply. This is an unofficial championship, I am the sole steward.
Let’s address this now. The PP max in the server at race time will be 575, but I have developed a system to stop GTS and TC entries from going beyond their max...
Those of you running in GTS or TC will note that you theoretically could run a car beyond the PP maximum during the race. As a means of pre-race tech inspection I will invite TC teams to enter the race first, thus the PP max will be set to 475. Once all TC entries are entered they cannot cancel entry or they will forfeit their entry for the race. I will provide practice time prior to the start of qualifying, so please have your setup sorted. I will clearly announce that the qualifying window is open for the TC class and qualifying will run for seven minutes.
At the conclusion of the TC qualifying session the PP limit will be raised to the GTS maximum of 515. TC entries are asked to stay entered as the GTS entries join and their session runs. Once all GTS entries have joined they, like the TC entries, must now remain entered in the race until the conclusion of the race (either when you cross the finish line or DNF). Again, the GTS qualifying window will be announced and the entrants will have seven minutes to go for pole.
At the end of GTS qualifying the PP limit will be raised to 575 and the fire-breathers will enter the race. Once all GT entries have joined I will clearly announce the qualifying session is green and GT entries will have seven minutes to run as their TC and GTS counterparts did.
Once GT qualifying is complete, the race order will be set (by qualifying time) and I will manually start the race. No one may leave or join the server at this point. The race start will be a Grid Start with False Start Check.
Penalties and Boost are off.
Grip Reduction is Real.
Mechanical Damage is HEAVY.
Tire Wear and Fuel Consumption is ON. (SAVE THOSE TIRES!)
Race finish delay will be 180 Seconds to allow for all battles to finish at the line.
ASM, TCS, Skid Recovery, Active Steering and Driving Line will be OFF.
Rewards Weight
1. +25kg
2. +20kg
3. +15kg
4. +5kg
5. +0kg
Rewards weight will be applied for the following round of the championship.
Ballast position must be set as follows.
Front Engined cars: 100 Front.
Mid Engined cars: 0 Middle.
Rear Engined cars: -100 Rear.
When you join the race server, please remember to set your car up adding the Rewards weight immediately.

3. 30
4. 20
5. 10
The qualifying time limit of seven minutes is subject to change. If circuit length and laptimes becomes a concern for any class (particularly the TC cars) I reserve the right to change the qualifying format to suit the interests of all racers. The initial discussion will happen in the race thread, but we’re doing this for fun and we can decide to change it in game. I would still like to have TC, GTS, and GT stagger their race entries so we can assure everyone is running to their respective PP limits.
On race day, the room will be called “GTPWC R. 1” (‘R.’ Meaning race, ‘1’ meaning round one, 2 meaning round 2 etc.). I will be more than happy to hold open test sessions (fun races, sprints with reverse grid, change your car and class etc.) in the pre-season and in between rounds. I will announce those sessions in this thread.
