It is obvious that insidesimracing tv does have nothing to do with journalism. They are just shop owners who want to sell their sim racer stuff.

With every new wheel in the past, they told you that it is the best of the best and that you can forget the rest. And this time they want to sell their nice little Fanatec addition to their product range. Ridiculous. What you can forget are their biased reviews.:yuck:

And I want to add, that everything that these three people at the show are talking seems to be just a slow murmer of s***. They know very little about racing and are more or less just an advertising department of Iracing.

So please Jordan, stop posting their videos and keep things serious.

These guys couldn't even tell a user on their censored, Youtube channel what driving assists or tire compounds they were using for their "preview" of the GT5 Nürburgring demo, which I recall they concluded by saying: "so, pretty much the same as Prologue, really".

I'm sure Jordan would pay more attention to you if you actually psoted this in the right place. The GT5 forum is for GT5 related posts and this has nothing to do with GT5.

You may also find you get on a lot better if you didn't go off on what seems to be biased rant.

Glad you enjoyed our GamesCom coverage 👍

These guys have always done great coverage of sim racing. Their review of GT5 is by far the most thorough and unbiased so far, so much so they are holding back on part 2 till the new year to evaluate updates and extended play. They even did a collaboration with GTPlanet at Gamescon earlier in the year.

I don't know, or think that they are paid by companies to give good reviews, especially by Fanatec. They may have gotten the wheel for free, but that's also the case with most of their product reviews.

You should differentiate between reviews and advertising shows. They have the GT2 from Fanatec in stock now, test it 5 minutes and come to the conclusion "best wheel for GT5 ever" which is instantaneously posted by Jordan on a blog about...GT5.

Ridiculous.

They don't even sell the wheel. I would understand if they had it on sale here, then it would make sense to say its the best wheel ever.

There are many other reviews that say it's a great wheel, perhaps they do just think it's the best wheel for GT5.

If you don't like the ads then don't click on them and ignore them, I am growing a hatred for the gurning person in the national injury lawyers ad I see on here from time to time. Just ignore it.

The gtp simraceway partnership was great at gamescom, if simraceway are a shop then what do you expect, they want to sell their stuff they arn't false advertising just saything that they think its good so you should get one aswell, very very common advertising practise.

Advertising isn't a big deal. Jordan (I believe) gets payed to put the ads up. That's $$ for him, and a bigger reason than a biased rant to decide whether to keep them or not.

It's unfortunate that you're cynical or dislike InsideSimRacing, but I was personally very interested in their endorsement of the wheel and have a new respect for it and Fanatec's Clubsport pedals. If you notice, ISR's "store" is entirely driven by affiliate commissions - they just link to other online stores and get a percentage of the sale if you buy a product through that link. I didn't link to their store, and the benefit they receive from exposure here is limited to additional viewers or YouTube subscribers. Fanatec is the only company which would stand to financially gain from such a post, as their site is linked to directly. It's the same with Logitech, Thrustmaster, VisionRacer, or anyone else - it's called publicity. Every company loves it because it's free, but to get it they have to do noteworthy things such as introduce new products, offer discounts and sales, or run competitions and other promotions. This is how media such as product-centered blogs and magazines work.

The steering wheel market/industry is interesting to GTPlanet's readers and members for very obvious reasons, and I think it's worthwhile to bring this sort of thing to their attention (if I was a reader, it's something I would certainly want to know about). While I obviously earn revenue from the site's advertising, I do not accept any money for blog posts.
