just a few questions for ya rl drifters

ok guys i just set the number one score overall for suzuka east, while drifting the mercedes benz AMG score of 21,590 now i dont have a replay i can upload. My question is once u have viewed the replay in game of my run could u tell me if i should be penalized for ONE tire comming in contact with grass.. The reason i ask is becuase ealier i was chatting with my team mate MORAN-AUTO-S14 and his bro, when S14 set his record at 191.. something so i decided to have a go at this car and well i did pretty well if u ask me. the topic is that i was " cheating " while having one tire come in contact with the grass and that my run did not count. i have watched many replays and have seen tons of ppl do this and nothing i have heard till now that this was so called " cheating " while "using the grass" so what are your opinions of this topic?? Now to my next question how can i change my acount name here because im not part of MORAN-AUTO anymore free agent

Using the grass is actually a technique called Dirt Drop if your doing it on purpose. Very helpful for low powered cars. But I fail to see what this has to do with real life drifters.

Using the grass on corner with your back wheels is dirt-dropping, you'd be penalised in D1 for missing the clipping point you'd be marked higher for being right on the edge but on the road still, as you would if your fronts were grassing it. But this isn't D1, this is the GT5 Drift Trials which don't really matter, it's only a game and it shouldn't be a problem.

and i'm pretty sure you can't change your account name but you could make another one you only have 9 posts wich isnt too hard to get

On another note, our Acceptable Use Policy is pretty clear about lazy grammar use here, so please find the shift key on you keyboard so that you can capitalise the first letters of your sentences and "I"s, then cut out the "txt speek." "You" is a 3 letter word, "People" is a 6 letter word. Please don't use "u" & "ppl" as substitutes.

No slang words that promote laziness, ie; “r”, “u”, “plz”, etc. will be tolerated. Decent grammar is expected, including proper usage of capital letters. Repeated violations will be grounds for suspension and/or permanent removal from the forums.

As everyone previously said, it's a technique. Personally.. I think it's a hit it or miss it technique

But if you were in D1, Dragon is pretty much right. Clip wrong and you lose points


Anyway.. GTD's still alive and I don't think Fuji like rolling with the tag so... 💡
