Could you somehow make it so that you can attatch a picture more than once in the forums? because i hate it when it sends you to the thread, and you have to find it (ie, i posted pic in how many replies and i had to search through the whole thing to find it)

I could, but I really don't want to have more than one copy of the same file on my server. It's just a waste of space that puts more of a strain on the database.
 
I thinkwe should be able to attech more than 1 pic per post. B/c when u gosta post more than 1 pic its a waste of post.

I have good reason to believe that is coming in vB 3. It's currently not possible to enable/disable a feature like that.

Instead of making multiple identacle attachments, you could just attach once, and then use the tag to referance the same image somewhere else. It's easier on everyone because if they've seen it before it will already be in their browser cache and they won't have to download it again.

Here's an idea, Jordan. If there was a way to list all of the attachments at the top of the thread, that could be very handy. Or maybe even a list of thumbnails for referanced images. Wow, that'd be cool for some of the stuff we do here. Like the threads about desktop images, or avatars, or banners.

There could also be an option in the user preferances that gives you the ability to have a thumbnail displayed instead of the whole image. That would require the server to create a smaller image for every image under X size, but it would be nice. Then you could click the thumbnail to open the full sized image in a new window. Fun fun fun ...

This is a fantastic idea, and it would save bandwidth too! :thumbsup:
 
It is frustrating :banghead:.... but it would clog up the databases.....

And anyway you could always just post up the same pick under a different name....I guess that's cheatin....but eeeerrrrrr you didn't hear it from me ok? :odd:
