My new Audio Extreme Xbox 360 Dolby 5.1 headphones from the US and A. They feature true Dolby 5.1 sound with 4 speakers in each earcup, an external 5.1 amp and audio controller, a removable XBL microphone and also a rumble feature (basically emulating the rumble of the 360 controller - on your head). Unfortunately, I have just arrived at work and will be going to Macau afterwards so won't be able to use them until Sunday night. Can't wait to use them with Forza 2, Bioshock and COD4. Thoughts later...

I really need some headphones like those. My game xbox is on another TV in the lounge so I have to wear headphones which means I can't wear the headset at the same time.

Let me know how good they are.

Bump...

These headphones are absolutely brilliant! The extra dimension they give to all the games I have played with them is phenomenal. CoD4 becomes a whole new experience. It feels just like you are there amongst the action. You can tell where the frags are blowing up, where people are shooting from and when you're being snuck up on from behind. With the bass/vibration set on full, those frags will give you a headache. Wet Work is quite an experience what with the thunder and all.

If you have Star Wars Lego: The Complete Saga and you're a big fan of SW and you don't have these 'phones, you have to buy them. The SFX and the musical score are recreated brilliantly. The hum the lightsabers give off is uncanny and like the frags in CoD are sure to make your ears bleed (in a good way).

I don't know how much they retail for in the UK, but anything around 50-100 squids has gotta be worth it... and I'm yet to try them with Bioshock and all the rest of my games!

I'm going to have a look around for a pair of those. They sound excellent, and have exactly what I'm looking for. Hopefully I can find a retailer in the UK that stocks them.

I'll ask my friend. He bought a set too. Actually, he set up the whole thing. I'll give you the details of the supplier when I get them from him. They definately ship to the UK. I was gonna get them shipped to my parents there and then on to me, but I just couldn't wait to get my grubby mits on them.

I've found one site in the UK, but they are getting them in stock in about a month. I don't mind buying from overseas if the price is right & there are no compatability issues.

How long is the chord? I sit a good 10 feet away from my TV and Xbox - is it long enough?

Yeah, easily long enough! And the controls are on the cord too. But now mine are useless cos I have no 360 to use them with as it died last night! Gaaaaaaaaaaaaah!!!

Post them onto me, I will take good care of them for you.

Nice try, Mark! I'm so gutted that I can't play COD4 and Lego Star Wars you know. It's the 4 flashing red lights though, which mean the Xbox is having an issue with my AV cable, but no matter what I've tried it still doesn't work. I'll buy a cable first and then if it still doesn't work go straight out and buy an HDMi 360 without failiure issues.
