Hi,

Bought the Xbox today mainly for this game.
Only using the controller atm after using a wheel with GT5.

Very happy with the number of cars and tracks and they both look nice in cockpit view but can't really feel how good the driving is until I get a new wheel.
Hoping it doesn't feel like Shift 2 on the PC, which I liked at first but swiftly got bored with. A little too much grip I think.
Hope someone say's its not like Shift 2!

The tracks are excellent but I nearly got lost on the Nords as it felt so different from most other versions I've seen. :-) Still good though.

Leaderboards are great.

I was wondering if there are likely to be new tracks included in future DLC?

Cheers

Well, judging by the past, I'd put money on that the only DLC will be cars. We've had tracks in the past, but it was just ports from previous Forza games. Here's to hoping, though.

I don't know about that disinfected. Nurn GP was DLC in Forza 3 and it wasn't in any previous Forza before that. Motegi was DLC in Forza 2 and I don't remember it being in Forza 1. Going by that track record we should see one DLC track in FM4 that hasn't been in any previous Forza

Maybe I'm wrong but could you point me to where track DLC's in Forza were in the previous Forza's? Even though I had FM1 I wasn't really hardcore with it as Football and Basketball were more my thing at that time.

Regardless of the past, I'll keep my fingers crossed for DLC tracks. For example, how hard could it be for them to throw new york back into the game?

FM2 Motegi was new to the series and Road America was brought back from FM1 (but updated to a 360 version).

Nurburg GP circuit was new to the series in FM3.

History teaches us we will get at least 1 brand new track via DLC.

The cars and tracks are really nice in this game. The Mini Cooper Works and the Yellow Hat thingy GT500 car where excellent. Great sounds and some of the cars are amazingly detailed.
Really liked Sebring and so many other tracks, but.....

Took the Xbox and Forza back today as I didn't realise how much a decent wheel was going to cost. About £350 for a Fanatic (hope that's how you spell it) Controller is no good for quick corrections at speed.
Also I hadn't realised that you can't store downloaded video on the Xbox hard drive and it also wouldn't play most of my films off a usb stick.

How come Microsoft haven't got someone to make a decent cheapish wheel for the Xbox?

Pity because I quite liked Forza 4 even though I still don't know what it drives like with a wheel.

Don't know what kind of wheel you have for the PS3 but you could sell that and help towards the Fanatec. The Fanatec wheel works with the 360/PS3 and PC so you would be covered on that point.

I thought of the Fanatec because of the PC , Xbox & GT5 use but I only have a Logitech Formula EX so it's not worth anything.

Maybe I'll get it all again sometime in the future. I can still hear those lovely sounds. :-)

Cheers

Apparently very difficult. Something having to do with the new lighting, it was mentioned in one of the dev blogs on the official site if I remember right.

Thank god no New York.
No offense but I hated that track lol.

Maybe the op can provide a little insight...

I just played the trial at my mates house with a controller.... both the 458 and the (Muscle car... Chrysler group?) seemed very squirrely and loose compared to their counterparts in GT5... To me it felt a little shift-ish, but maybe i was in a bad car? Or maybe the track (A fictional, Swiss track)? Some insight would be great!

Many people coming from GT5 mention that squirrely/loose thing.

First thing is, forget about Shift, its not even close except for trolls and fanboys. I don't say Shift suck, its just not at the same level yet IMO.

Secundo, playing with the game for a couple of hours with different cars will do the trick. You need to find your sweet spot with the game settings like what difficulty do you prefer, options like traction control and ABS etc... I still play both games regularly and they both offer great sim aspects. Do not let anybody tell you one suck and one rule, because both games are fantastic.
