If it drops any further, I will likely be making the purchase. I have the disc version, but would prefer to have it all on the PS3. We'll see. That $20 price tag isn't bad.

I have PS Plus and got it for $16, also have the disk however my main PS3 is going this Xmas to my kid, and I got a spare 160 slim with a defective optical drive laying around gathering dust, so I'll keep that one for me as the few games I play are PSN versions anyway including now GT6 and my son can have my main PS3 with the GT6 disc for him, win-win for both, until PS4 next year 👍:gtpflag:
 
20 bucks for a game you'll be playing for the next two months or so, not counting random small sessions every once and a while. It is the only car game out there worth to play other than Forza. The rest is rubbish.

That's a good deal.

Far more... I've been playing for 1 year, mostly online of course, and I havent gotten tired. If you really like this kind of game, you'll keep playing and playing.
 
I may have to purchase the OL version as I'm unable to play the International B Cart race. Locks up on both profiles every time.
 
just want all day downloading and installing gt6 from psn and now i started it and its installing with a time llft of 220 minutes ???? isnt it already install to the hdd

this game is officially becoming my worst gaming experience ever.. when all i wanna do is just play the damn thing

now it says 320mins
now is says 420

now its says 6 mins lift but nothing is happing

Unfortunately I'm not really into online, which is what keeps these kind of games alive these days. And since they numb down the offline mode on purpose to push people to play online, there isn't much left for me. Back in the days of the PS1 and the PS2, I did play GT for years without getting bored.

That and the little annoyances that are never fixed. It's not that I don't like the game; I just don't like the gaming industry these days.

No, it's downloaded. After it has downloaded it needs to install.

Download a program for your PC, say Open Office. Once you've downloaded it, do you need to install it or not?

Downloading is just acquiring the data. Installing is putting that data into the console so that it can deal with it.

If your worst ever gaming experience is having to wait for something to install, you've should probably experience a few more games.

But one thing you should definitely do is not allow your frustration and boredom to boil over into laziness in your posting on GTPlanet.

I also played offline back in ps1/ps2 days and I didnt get bored and now I do get bored... its because we've done it so much that it becomes boring... but online its a completely different story, with other real players, its 10 times better. I dont know the reason why you dont go online but you should do it.
 
Online is not the be-all-things-to-every-person band-aid some make it out to be. The quicker people realize everybody enjoys playing games differently, the better the landscape will be.

@Chikane - What @Famine said. Once the game is installed and up-to-date, explore. IIRC, you can't go online right away, but heading out into the unwashed masses can be a bit of a crap-shoot. If you do end up heading online once you've completed the required solo stuff, well, there do seem to be clubs that can help...

You should play the majority of the new gen games (PS4 and XBone) where the first day patch alone is 10GB-ish, meaning it would be the worst in epic scale.

Just wait. Its normal process in all games.
 
I saw this and im so amped cause I literally have 20 dollars im so excited after playing gt5 for 3 months I can finally afford to get gt6 so I migh just walk to a local target or walmart to get the $20 psn card
