I just got my cd-r back up of gt4 pro. the guy said it was the Japanese version but ill get the asian version when he gets it.

Anyways..i was a bigfan of the "sim" tires in gt3 although they seemed tooooo slippery but in gt4 pro...the "sims" aka "street"
behave very much different. now instead of the car just oversteeringn under power (FR obviously) , it actually feels like the weight is shifted from the front wheels to the rear causing alot of understeer. I must admit it does feel way more realistic than the sims (btw i have only fooled around in a 180sx in RL).

now....theproble how are we going to DRIFT!!!!!? i became so used to just power oversteering into all my drifts. but now i understeer. trying other methods have been unsuccessful:banghead:

anyway it's ok - i got my back-up of prologue a lil earlier too... the original comes just lil later - in May or sth :)
 
Drifting is pretty easy in gt4p with street tires, try brake drift(but make it just like u would in real life) and later countersteer :p and control the car gently with a acelerator to keep the revs high without overreving.

p.s.: If shifting the weight by braking drift is not enough for you then add feint movements:)
 
yep power over-steer is not working. and yes feint and braking techniques seem to work the best. the r34 seems to power over really easy though.

should i pick up the wheel? or do you think it will drop in price or perhaps a new model/version will be released with gt4?
 
Shouldn't this be in the GT4:P section?

It will probably appear with GT4 as a special pack and that would be the best time to get it cost wise, but if you get it now, then you'll be used to using the wheel when GT4 comes out.
 
i dont care about the cost...i just dont want them to release a different version of the wheel, perhaps they will release a new color scheme, or different logos.

I am sure there will be fuzzy dice/chain steering version. :O

If you don't care about the cost, then why didn't you pay for Prologue?:confused:
 
to all the people with the back up issues, i wish i could find a way to get a back up with a boot disc, because I would love to pay for prolouge but im not willing to mod my ps2. Not worth 60 bucks or so to play a demo of a 50 dollar game. My two cents, but I was forced to pirate, so I stole my two cents back, sucka

Use the "slidecard" system, NO mod req'd.;)
 
i didnt pay for prologue because .i dont have a credit cad and didnt want to go asking someone to lend me one to order something from japan.Yes i know i could have sent in a money order and wait a week or so BUT WHY do that when i know i can get it within a few hours from a friend and for FREEEEEE:confused:

Uh, cause stealing is wrong, or something.

And since Prologue came out in December then you have already waited over 4 months anyway. So what's another week? It's also good to support those companies like PD that we all appreciate so they will make more great games in the future.
 
Uh - when you say 'Back Up', you're referring to the 'Back Up' of your legimately acquired version, RIGHT?

Because I'd hate to have to delete the thread and issue a warning for breach of the AUP for discussing illegal things if it wasn't.

You might want to go back and 'correct' your posts to address this 'inaccuracy'.
