Pretty nice looking card. Hella good price too. $175 from my friend whos motherboard for some reason could not support it. But anyways its pretty nice. Got it running at 8x AGP and just installed Direct X 9, and also downloaded some cool demo programs to show it off from ATI web site. But for some reason some times when im in a demo it kicks me out of it or restarts the comp. Anyone know if this might be because of my memory? I have only 256 of ddr pc2700.

Any help would be cool.

But other then the rare restarts everything else runs fine. Oh and BTW i know its not Direct x9 doing it cause it was doing the same thing when i had 8 on there. Under RTCW sometimes i get kicked out of that game. :p
 
Sounds like a driver/Windows issue, not a memory issue. Or, the card is defective.

I bet it is the drivers. (I have herad some bad things about them) Damn ATI....:mad: LoL thanks Alt.... i think your like the only other person here that knows stuff about computers.

:lol: Just took back my Nvidia GeForce3 cause it was defective.
 
That sucks man, really. I'm quite happy with my GeForce - except the fan wore out 3 days after I bought it. Chaintech puts this magnetically suspended fan on theirs. Which is fine, if you magically mount the card right-side up. Most ATX cases will mount it upside-down. :(
 
See if it were my card then wouldnt i not have been able to install windows? Cause with my GeForce3 i was not able to install windows. I keept on getting a Hardware/Software blue screen error. But when i got my ATI no such error ocurred. I do need to get my BIOS updated. That might be the problem too. Only thing is that i dont like Flashing the BIOS. I leve that for my friend. But hes not around so im guessing on all of this. Anyways thanks for the help you guys.
