just hit a-spec level 40! NOTHING for it

I just hit THE MARK, level 40 and it was about 10 min after the update 'went on line', was about 50 min earlier then supposed to be here in Or. Was finishing an endurance race i was currently in. Message came up saying server was not ava currently when i went to GT Life screen after my race- no prize car, no red bull, nada-nichts-nothing!

Aside from that, am i missing something here?! Pretty ticked off
 
Really, could have sworn i read there was a red bull for reaching 40. Still upset for not getting something, but not as bad as when i thought i missed out i guess
 
Kaz will be happy to gift you a X2010 if you can nap your time away while reaching level 35 b-spec. A-spec racers get nothing...Ever!

Yeah, have that. was hoping to get x2010. Guess i can buy one now, just keep reading how everyone has 6, 7, 40 of them! I'm not good enough yet at the Vettel challenge to have won a few, not sure i ever will be-ha ha
 
As you can see... the reward system of the game is quite a disgrace... :yuck:

Like you, I was expecting something cool for hitting Lvl40... :ouch:
 
The only reward from getting level 40 a spec (aside from the dubious pleasure of purchasing the red bull), is the view from the top, AND you will now find the 24 hrs of Nurmburgring has opened up for you in the endurance races. Enjoy that, I did, took me about 2 weeks. Here's the rub... the 24 race gives you 9 million xp and a couple of million cash... If you're at level 40 you can't use xp anymore and what does cash matter anymore? Reward fail.

The view from the top is pretty much the same as the view from the bottom. Unless you change your profile pic and background colour to celebrate.

Yea, the XP for Nurburgring is 100% pointless. I'm not sure why its even there.
 
Add me to the list, I was shocked when I reached level 40 and got nothing :ouch:

What annoyed me more though, Is the fact that, that was that**. No more races were unlocked, any XP i earned would go down the drain... It was a true anti-climax :indiff:

I got over it though, and now i love nothing more then a good, close online race with mates.



**Terrible grammar i know, but i can't think of another way to word it.

Everest. That's why it's there. because it's there. If you've climbed the Nurmburgring 24 hr mountain you'll know the feeling, I just cant see the point in awarding xp.
 
While the Ring 24 was unlocked, I was hoping for a completely new level of races not just one. I did choose to complete it, but doing another 24h enduro (prior to in-race saves) was more of a chore then the joy i was hoping for.

Admittadly, watching the sun rise on the Nurb was more awe inspiring then watching the sun rise above Le Sarthe.
 
After all this is a game and achieving Level 40 should have some form of reward. Maybe getting a random pick of a car than not available in the game or DLC and cannot be traded. They probably would not need more than a dozen cars but it would at least make it personal.

That being said I was just happy to be finished.
 
The 24hrs @ nurburgring is now open to you at level 40. Complete all the endurance races and you will get a level 24 ticket.
 
You should get a silver PSN (SEN?) trophy called "Excellent Driver". Along with unlocking the pointlessly-XP-reward Nuerburgring 24hr race, that pretty much covers it.

Of course by that point you'll be swimming in cars and money - and you should have three X2010 S.Vettel (B-Spec Level 35 gift, X Challenge Bronze prize, 2011 Formula One World Driver's Championship gift)...

You can have much more than that.
I'm at the 200% login bonus and if I should cash in my B-spec Bobs - who are all in shared mode - I would get more than 40mil out of them. ;)

OP, reaching level 40 makes you really want to get that Platinum Trophy now, isn't it? ;)
 
sometimes the "feeling / sense of pleasure" for reaching a goal is the best price...
take for example the licences... I was always so lucky and proud when winning gold at a hard event...
 
A-40 means nothing, 45% of us got there from Elastic Grinds, perhaps a valid reason for no prize at the end.
S-Challenge gold, you're getting warm
60 licence gold, clearly, the elastic was not on the controller.
Winning some international online races on the 24hr Nur, in more cars than two, amongst regular friends, you deserve a case of beer.
 
That's really odd...

When I hit 40 I got a pony and a trip to Disneyland. And then I woke up.
 
PD should make us able to go beyond level 40, just for the record.. even if it takes 10 years to make level 100, anyways that would be better than just stay on level 40 it makes it pointless, esspecialy when you dont get nothing for it, they at least could give 3 good giftcar tickets or a horn :D
 
When I hit level 40, it was only 10 minutes later that Kaz showed up at my house in his Schulze Motorsport GTR... he handed me a racing suit and a helmet, then told me to take her for a rip! It was awesome until I got pulled over and arrested. The worst part is, Kaz not only laughed as the cops hauled me away, he didn't even bail me out of jail! I mean, he can afford it, can't he? I'm going to send him an angry e-mail right now... I'm not going to let him use my awesome DS3 controller with blue grippy pads on the thumbsticks... that will show him! LOL :/
