I don't have a problem or such, i just wanted to post saying how well i like new features that have been added:tup: I have been a member for a long time and one of my favorite features on the site is the new view last unread post button, its so simple but yet so handy. As soon as i get all my daughters expensive school clothes out of the way:ouch: i will be getting my lifetime premium to support the site. Its not free to run so if you use this site please consider getting premium when possible. I would have had it long ago but family/job stuff has been crazy this past year.....thank you usa economy:tdown:

Anyways, just show your support for everything that Jordan has done for us here with having this site, all the setting's you have used from here, all the videos you have watched, all the friends you have made and etc.:gtpflag:

Well thank you for the unsolicited testimonial! We appreciate the compliments and the support. Glad that you're happy with us!

If i weren't happy then i wouldn't still be around :) People just don't think about costs and such for sites, it's not free so it would be nice if a good bit of people could throw in some cash for a lifetime, I will be but just after everything is taken care of at home.

I feel the same way. I would have had a lifetime premium already, but as i'm just a boy who's too young to hae a credit card, i can't.

EBAY is the trick mate. I just sell stuff on ebay and then use paypal to buy things like it. I have just sold everything that i had to sell or i would just do that this time around. As soon as i pull the 700R4 tranny out of my caprice its getting sold so there we go :)

I just traded my 1-month subscription(expired today) for a lifetime one. This is the only game site worth paying for since it's not a bunch of kids running around talking in abbreviated words.

Although I don't post too often, I have gained a wealth of information from this site & I visit it most days so I didn't mind chucking a few quid in the pot.

Thanks so much for the kind words, breakpoint, that's very nice of you. :)

GTP has really played an important part in my life. Before GTPlanet, I never had anywhere to go for Gran Turismo except for my PS3, living in a country with little, if any presence of racing or automotive heritage, really caring most about music, football and track and field. I really am in love with this site and if I would never be able to come back anymore, there will be a big hole in my daily activity.

PJ, what about parents. Get them to get a paypal account - easy as, and secure too.

I have to agree with everything here said here, especially with Justin.

Yeah same here. Parents just do not trust anything to do with the internet. They just refuse to adjust to the reality, which kinda sucks in a way. Thank God, a really nice person (you know who you are ;)) bought me a lifer.

I managed to convince my mum to buy me lifetime premium.:D She just said "As long as you use your money to pay for it." I said "With pleasure!" I wanted to support GTPlanet as much as I could.:D

I'm in the same boat as Turbo Lag, a super nice person (Josh) gave me lifetime Premo, and I'm forever indebted to him and to GTPlanet for the faith that they have shown in me in purchasing that. :O

It's the only forum that's around that doesn't pander to the lowest common denominator of user, holds up a very strict set of standards through the AUP (even though I cross that line occasionally. :O) and is the best gaming forum around catering to the one specific game. It's allowed users such as myself to help contribute to the site through the various record charts we've created over the years, for the walkthroughs of GT1,2,3,4 & 5P, for the competitions catered for the racing fans and most importantly, for the people who continually feed us the latest information regarding Gran Turismo in any shape or form.

So to anyone who can help other people out, please do so and give your fellow GTP'er premium, for a month, a year or lifetime....it doesn't matter.

And if that's not enough incentive....think of Jordan, we don't want him eating dog food because not enough people get premium. Just Kidding boss. :D:tup:

Long live :gtplanet: forever. 👍

I would save up money and get a lifetime account, but as it stands, I already have 25 infraction points on my account, and just one mistake will ban me. So, as it stands, I'll be sending in the periodic $20, or however much these things are worth now.

I'll be paying for Premo when I get off my lazy arse to do it.:D (I won this year's free premo, once you've had premo you never go back :sly:).

Support GTP! For the good members anyway.:sly::gtpflag:

Have you actually asked your parents if you could get premium?
Have you offerred to give them the money towards it from your pocket money. If you show your parents the quality of this forum they may just say yes like I did many moons ago - and then joined up myself. (Ok maybe that is one reason not to show your parents :) )

I assume when you say 'parents' you mean your own because all parents are not like that.

For anyone that isn't old enough for a credit card just ask your parents, show them the site, let them see what they get for their money and they may just help you get there. Of course if you don't behave on this site like your parents would expect you to in real life then they may have a problem with spending their hard earned cash.

My mom really doesn't like to spend "unnecessary"(again in her opinion) amounts of money. If I ever have any extra pocket money, she always puts it in my bank account, and I'm not allowed to touch the money at all :(. It's about $10 as of 3 years ago.

Im in the same boat as PJ and Turbo, anything to do with putting Credit Card details over the internet my mum doesnt like, same with my dad. It took a bit of convincing just to transfer money (for the first time ever for my benefit) over to the PSN wallet which we all know is secure and it did come out of my money. My parents would never pay for a forum like this, they didnt pay for runescape a few years back either...

RPM (Ian) still owes me Premium after we raced for a bet :) ;)

Since you're a mod now Jack and premo is pretty much useless to you, how about you "pay it forward" and give the premo you're owed to a non-premo person and tell RPM to give it to that person. They will appreciate it more than you might realise. 👍

Spread the wealth boys, spread the wealth. :)

Knowing Jack and online racing, he probably doesn't owe anyone anything. Might as well give it to me

Wow, this thread has got allot of views and allot of great responses! I am happy to see that most of us feel the same way, even if some can't afford it at the moment ( like me! ) or are having a hard time getting parents to go for it. The community here at GTP is just great, allot more mature than any forum i have ever looked over. Try having your parents sit down with you and look over the site to show them that its a great place and not full of "mature content" and other things of such nature that parents don't want their kids viewing, and if that doesn't work tell them its ok and that you know i could be doing other things with my time like stealing things and doing drugs mum! Haha.

EDIT: I asked THIS on another thread, what do you guys think about the idea? And please don't comment on the idea of tattoos, just the idea of doing it for a hair bit of swag. I was thinking of asking if he agreed to/ like the idea of donating a years premium to anyone i pick, does that sound like a decent barter? And yes i said for someone else, i can get my own in due time but some people as ive seen on here are having a hard time getting it and if Jordan would agree to that then i would start a thread asking people to tell me why they should be considered for getting the premium. I would also make a video of my getting it and post it on youtube which would support the site, it would bring more members in and some of which might buy premium.

Up to him, if hes still willing to pay then thats all good and a non-premo can have it 👍

Waits for RPM to read this....

I cant believe how much you want it  Im not sure what would be funnier. Giving you it for a month, then it running out so you suffer, or not giving you it at all..... Hmmm *Evil Face* :sly:

I think that's a bit extreme, but it would be cool to see though. Heck, come down to Florida and I'll do it for you.

This is a great website. Even though I'm a relatively new member, I've been browsing here ever since I got me an Internet connection. My earliest memory of visiting the website was some 4 years ago, when I searched for an XLink Kai tutorial for GT4 and found it here.

I've been to websites in which its owner, as interested in it as he may be, can't update and work on it very often for whatever reasons, but that isn't the case here. Kudos, Jordan.

In defense of your parents, some of them anyway-you have to understand, those without much internet experience are scared to death of identity theft and all sorts of other predatory activity they hear about all the time on television. Add to that paying for a website about a video game and I can see how it could seem outrageous-I'm thinking of my sister and her son here-to your parents.

It might help your cause to show them the site-find a topic they might be interested in here and let them read through it, there are so many that have nothing to do with the games at all. Show them the type of discussion and how much information about daily life is present, and how you have to use proper grammar and are not allowed to be rude, etc. If you can convince them it isn't just screwing around, you might have better luck getting their wallets/pocketbooks open!

Jordan, I'm such a fan of the site I'll likely keep paying you yearly instead of buying the freaking lifetime membership! Plus I put that sweet gtplanet.net sticker on my bike......

I'm already covered so another one really isn't that big of a deal. My friend owns a shop so at no cost anyways. Just thought it would be cool to be the first on here to have something like that. Most are thinking in their heads, man thats stupid to tattoo something like that on you, well really i could care less, i mean i don't look like G.G.Allin but some i have are prison quality if you get my drift. Not to mention if it gets enough hits on youtube then that could generate a decent amount of cash for the site:tup: But thanks for the offer, you an artist or where you speaking as in you would pay for it? If your an artist how long you been tattooing and what shop you work at mate?

Don't violate your skin just for a website, even if it will get publicity, think about your life first.

Put up a competition for it. The winner of the ROC gets premium? The first person to say what year you got married? Your birthday? A GT5 Prologue test with questions about cars and tracks in the game? What? How much is it anyway?
