I also have an account at another forum site, and I have noticed that people are ALOT more mature about things here on gtp than this other site. I received an e mail today from that site, here is what it read. QUOTE
"I breathe normally in a 600 mile an hour uncontrolled vertical dive. I also s*** normally. RIGHT IN MY PANTS!!!!!" -George Carlin
DAIMLER CHRYSLER WAS A TAKEOVER!

Teh predeeding lines were edited from your signature. The first violates the policy outlined below, while the second is considerd possibly inflammatory rhetoric.

Taken from the Gundam Watch Policies:

QUOTE
7. The profanity filter is on. While we do believe that freedom of speech and expression is a wonderful thing, we also have to keep in mind the best interests of our members in general, and it is always possible to express yourself just as well (and usually even better) without the profanity. Keep in mind that attempts to circumvent the profanity filter can result in a loss of posting privileges.

As you can see, the use of a word such as you used in suh such a blatant matter is not allowed here, self-censored or not. Feel free to replace these two lines with something that falls under Gundam Watch policiy. It's also suggested you familiarize yourself with the policies to avoid future mishaps such as these.

Thanks,
Arion Hunter

Now, I have gotten a few PM's from mods on both sides about my sig size. I complied. members are so persnickety on that site it scares me. if this falls under the category of B +C, then I will happily let mods close the thread.

I have had this sig the whole time on GTP, and haven't gotten any trouble with it. I just think its a little immature to not let people post their edited opinions. in their off topic thread no politics or religion. basically any such thread is closed. oh well.

I agee with you, that when I first got here I noticed that people were very mature in the ways they presented themselves and talked in general.
But lately I've noticed that is no so true, to many new jackasses on the site that have nothing constructive to say. Thats why I find my self coming back here less and less.

Jordan has set the rules down, and the moderators try to keep up with everyone to abide by them.

The good thing about GTP, is the members themeselves. They tend to keep things in check simply by hitting the "report to Moderators" button. The moderators are 99.9% consistent with their actions and responses. When one works, it complements the other very nicely. WHen they both work, it makes for a well maintained site.

Good luck, and enjoy your stay.

I guess I should just hit the button more often in the GT4 forum...

I wouldn't really call this a mature site though. People complain too much and do little to improve the situation.

Obviously, it's not that mature, we've got tens of thousounds of members from around the world.

But most of the site is mature'rer then some parts.

The only part I would call immature is the GT4 forum.

Nah, the GT3 drifting Forum is full of old people acting like teenagers. They just can't add teh immaturuty that comes with that age category.

There are a handful of people in the GT3 Drifters forum that have really taken a handle on cleaning that area up.

It's a fair step up from the GT4 forum. We'll see what happens when GT4 comes out and to what extent drifting is included there.

yes, Loudmusic is right, there is still a fair play of immaturity here, but it tends to be a bit less of a squeaky wheel than elsewhere on the web.
