During a dinner thrown to launch his new perfume, Diddy announced to his guests that he intended to purchase an F1 team. His announcement was made after the rapper had spent a good deal of the evening huddled in a corner with Lewis Hamilton, the first black driver in F1. One can only hope next season doesn't find spinners and diamond encrusted spoilers in the F1 circuit.

I call BS. As soon as he sees the cost involved in running a team that won't embarass him he's gonna thing again.

It's just a load of hot air to look impressive infront of a few mentionable people.
 
P.Poopy is a trend whore. He's looking for the latest thing to make himself appear important. F1 is growing in popularity here in the US, so naturally he feels he must join in to appear popular.

I'd love to see how he's going to accomplish that since there aren't any teams available for sale. Spyker might do a Midfield and sell before the year is out, but I assume Diddy would want his cars to be at the right end of the field.
 
P. Diddy has his wealth rated at around 390 to 400 million dollars. He doesn't have enough money and he doesn't have who to buy either. Who's he gonna buy, Spyker? That would probably be the only option and even then I doubt he's willing to put out third or more of his total money for it. As for making his own team, doesn't have the money or the relations.

He could always see Nigel Stepney if he wants to be competitive. But this is just Diddy talking himself up, like the time he announced he was going to audition for James Bond and play alongside Angelina Joile.
 
P. Diddy probably met Lewis Hamilton, and, having no idea who he was, the conversation probably went like this.

P: "So, you already are winning the championship in yo' rookie year? You know... I would buy my own Formula 1 team."

It's all just pompous showoff crap.
 
All of this is just hype.Why would "puffy" buy an F1 team?and if he has the money,there are 12 teams already participating in next year.(and the maximum amount of teams is 12) so if he wants to buy a team (which is less likely) he needs a lot of money...i hate it when celebrities get involved,can they just do scandals to attract the media(or paparazzi)?

I was thinking along the same lines. Maybe they could also put an amp, few speaker and sub in place of the rear spoiler.

If he did buy a team and saw the result of his first race Diddy would dissapear from the sport in a flash.
