Delivery trucks are cool: Ford Transit SportVan

The annual Commercial Vehicle Show in Blighty is one of our favorite things, specifically because our inner children never stopped liking big trucks , and the manufacturers actually unveil cool stuff at the show. Exhibit A comes from Ford, which pulled the wraps off the limited-edition Transit SportVan. Powered by a 130-horse diesel, the bespoilered SportVan is targeted at the small business owner who wants to deliver his or her goods in style, hence the Performance Blue paint, Le Mans stripes, and 18" alloys. Inside, it's driver rolls along in leather seats, with creature comforts like additional leather appointments, a CD changer, A/C, rain-sensing wipers, and more all included in the deal. Only 500 will be built. Full details from Ford come after the jump.

Joey's Note: I like how they put SRT-4 rims on it.

though, imagine the typical "white van man" with a V8 van behind you, getting into road rage.. :nervous:
 
I'd buy one....







...strip it out, and stuff a Ford GT's V8 and transaxle in the cargo bay. Supervan IV, anyone?

Na those arent SRT-4 rims. the spoke pattern is a bit different, they're spaced out farther apart. looks more like mini cooper rims to me.

Not the greatest shot but the only one i could find.
 
I think Ford was trying to ape the S-MAX rims, although inferno is right, the Cooper rims are a closer match.

 
That might be a pretty good sleeper car. Imagine doing donuts in a van! I'll agree that a bigger engine would make it even cooler.
 
Cant believe no one from the UK has posted already - the rims are classic TSW Venoms! Used by Ricers of the 90's

The rims are way different then the SRT 4, and they look way better in my view.

Uh...

That's the ultimate sleeper. of all time. Without going into GT3 Hybrids.
