Just won a helmet and suit from unreleased DLC?

I just got done finishing the drift events on the seasonal events and I won a dessert camo helmet from one event and a flame suit from another..Is it just me or has anyone else won these?

Ive won one of those new simpson helmets as well.. i think the DLC isnt for unlocking new content, maybe you just buy the new stuff straight up..?

Ive also noticed all the events that used to give suits and helmets when you come in 1st place has turned into paints.. is this just happening to me?

I'm not sure but i remember seeing those same types of helmets and suits listed under the DLC on the GT5 site
 
On the main opening screen, ive seen the helmet/racing gear video but with all the DLC suits and helmets included... there could be some added racing gear for Spec II.
 
I think they made two different sets one for the update and the other for DLC. If you go in the market there are people that have them.
 
i won a desert camo helmet and a graffiti suit also on new time trials, alonng with a #31 suit from an earlier suit line

Not to sure though but I dont think the safari helmet matches any of the 5 colours in the DLC. Maybe wrong though

Do think its odd though. Seasonals abandoning helmets and suits as prizes shortly after Spec 2. I still have a load to collect so I hope they get reintroduced instead of becoming DLC.
 
I got some of the new funky colored stuff too. It's cool but I wouldn't trade it for the Intersection Style suit that's gotta be my favorite suit.

Yea the flame suit i got doesn't match any of the DLC colors, but the camo helmet i got is nearly identical to the blue camo if not the same
 
I recently unlocked one of the DLC Helmets. The one to the very far left. It looks like a bird or something.

People have unlocked DLC items, actually have DLC tracks and you can drive the DLC karts. It's clearly already in the game at this point. Buying the DLC from the store will simply unlock it in-game, right?
 
Buying the dlc will give you all the new suits and all the cars right away. Looks like you can get some of the new suits through exessive seasonal farming too.

So if you enjoy farming, don't buy the dlc suits. If you want them right away, just buy the dlc.

No your not the only one. I won paint twice for 1st place.
 
Last I checked, ALL the seasonals gave paints for 1st place (for races that you havent done and have done)
Im in a 24hr a-spec race, so does anybody know if its still like that?
Im disappoint.. :(
 
I used to get paints for 1st place as well, but now it gone back to helmets. Not a happy panda since I have zero use for the Barbie stuff, though I like collecting stamps, I mean paints...

Buying the dlc will give you all the new suits and all the cars right away. Looks like you can get some of the new suits through exessive seasonal farming too.

So if you enjoy farming, don't buy the dlc suits. If you want them right away, just buy the dlc.

Indeed you can via farming. However if I read correctly, buying the DLC only gives us 5 colors of each type of new suits and helmets, along with the special ones.
