Ok This is meant for those few people who own the game to post their settings. I will start out with my settings for the S13 Silvia.
Parts:
Muffler Level 2
Turbo Kit Level 2
Air Cleaner Level 2
Cooling Module Level 2
All power train level 2
plus LSD 1WAY LEVEL 1
Reinforce Level 1
Weight Down level 2
Sports Level 2 Tire

Setting:
Gear Ratio 1st=3.321 2nd=1.902 3rd= 1.308 4th=1.000 5th=.759 Final=4.083
LSD, Traction Control, ABS: Normal
Spring Rate: Front=0 Rear=+10%
Damper: Front=+10% Rear=0
Stablizer, Ride height=0
Toe=0
Camber=Front -1 Rear -.3
Brake Balance= 65:35
Steering Angle=+2
And thats it for the S13 Silvia

Have you considered writing up a FAQ to upload to GameFAQs? I'm sure you've got buckets of info that would be useful to others (me included).

And could you post settings for your 86, please?

Ok, Here goes for the AE86, Levin, or Trueno. (Remember, the only difference between these cars is that the Trueno looks like a monkey's ass, while the Levin looks like a fox)

I'm gonna leave the parts out on this one, since it doesnt dramatically affect the performance. The only two definate items are a level 2 tranny or above, and a level 2 engine or above.
(Note, Trueno is a light car, but also lacks a lot of torque, so the setting should emphasize using the 86's weight to counter its small torque)
Settings:
Gear Ratio: 1st=3.890 2nd=2.343 3rd=1.554 4th=1.128 5th=.907 Final=6.018
LSD, Traction Control, ABS=Normal
Spring Rate: Front=-10% Rear=0
Damper: Front=10% Rear=0
Stabilizer: (OPTIONAL) Front=10% Rear=10%
Ride Height: Front -5mm Rear -5mm
Toe: Front 0 Rear 0
Camber: Front=-.3 Rear=0
Break Balance=70:30
Steering Angle=+2
That's the '86 in a nutshell.

I just got this game, and so far it is by far the best racing game I've ever played. I've never had so many all nighters for a game before, it's just that absorbing, anyways I'm just about finished 1st Iro and things are getting a little tough now... I was wondering if it would be possible for a experianced kaido player to mabye post some generic settings for some of the drivetrains. Something like a generic Drift setup for a RWD car, or a grip setup for 4wd, or a drift setup for 4wd etc. No matter how hard I try how many forums I read, I can never seem to manage to get them to where I'm statisfied :)

Anyways I hope it's possible, even if you could just post some for the more commonly used setups (rwd drift, 4wd drift) that would be great. And If I do manage to find a good setup I'll be sure to post it here 💡

Thanks

hey guys, i just got this game not too long ago and all i have to say is wow. this game is far better than bg3 and i was already addicted to that. I have a question though, I just bought myself an s15 silvia and was wondering what kind of settings would be good for it? I was searching around and seito4counter seems to be the master of this game, so could you advise me towards some settings for an s15 and some general advice towards setting up future cars of different types (rwd, awd, fwd etc etc) I love this game, but I just think i need a bit more help tuning my cars. Thanks again guys! great forum glad to be here

well i usually like stiffer setups, because you can drift with high control at 150kmph+ but if you want smooth drifts like in initial d, you want a slightly softer setup taking advantage of dampening. It's like 5AM my time, when i post this, i've been doing a 24hour so when i go get some papers in like 7 hours, i'll look in my save and give you some good settings. (s15 is one of my favorite handeling cars in that game)

Hi all, hehe i got to this forum searching for info on GT4, and i find kaido battle here ^_^. Sorry to re-pop this thread, but when I read i felt this was being left out to die.
I wanted to contribute a little to this "settings" guide, so since I see that some of us prefer drift-style setup to straight racing-style setups, i'll just add my 0,02 cents worth to this thread.

Okay, first of all I'm no expert so my setups may not be 100% optimum.
Second, every driver has a point at which he is good handling the cars, so one setup will not fit all, rather, you should experiment to find your sweet spot :)
Now, if you want to drift your car, there are just a few things that you should consider: drivetrane, suspensions, caster/toe of wheels. These are just basic things to get your car start drifting.
Caster: you should give your car some angle in your front wheels if you don't want to see your car slide off like on ice. Keep the rear straight 90º to the road,
Also, make the rear tire spring rate a little bit hard, and the front tires a little bit soft.
Car height is also an issue, depending on the weight, width, etc, you should lower the height accordingly. Brake ratios are also important so you can get your drift started easily, the front should get more force than the rear.
If your car feels a bit heavy, you can try reducing the height in the front just a little more than the rear.
Each car has its own different touch as we know, depending if it is AWD/4WD, FF, FR, MR... etc. It's much more difficult to drift with a AWD than with for example FR, same goes for FF, but once you get that sweet spot for your car, drifting it will be a matter of getting used to it.
I hope with this little things you can all start experimenting and submitting some car setups! ^_^

Wow, that's the worst guide i've read. ^_^

Adding brake bias to the front induces understeer on cornering, adding brake bias to the rear induces oversteer. The rear spring rate and dampers should usually be set slightly lower than the front in FR and MR cars, in 4wd/ff cars your best bet is to do the opposite (stiffer rear = more oversteer, the same way slightly softer rear will help reduce the oversteer). Negative camber will tend to add grip, but too much will tend to create understeer, I tend to only use a maximum of about -2.30 and that was on the Sierra cosworth which suffered from horrible oversteer. Minus value toe (I forget which one is toe in and toe out) creates oversteer and plus value toe will reduce it. Most cars in Kaido battle benifit from at least -1 toe on the rear wheels. The steering angle basically reduces the distance from lock to lock, so the lower the value the quicker the car enters the turn and the easier it is to use countersteer to control drifts. Also the easiest method to get a 4wd car to drift is to put all the power to the rear wheels so it basically acts as a rwd car, the option is on the same page as the steering angle. The LSD is also another part that helps reduce or increase oversteer, but i've forgotten which option does what at the moment. Remember the best type of drifting car is a ballanced car, this is why it isn't good to mix different types of tyre if your going to drift just use whatever highest grade sports tyres you have available. From what i've noticed with this game is that the higher level the tyres the bigger and wider the wheels are, if you look at the level 2 tyres and compare them to the level 5 ones you will notice a visual difference. I know in TXR3 showed you the level of the tread and it did give you some extra grip with the larger wheel sizes, I can't remember if it has something simmilar in Kaido battle on the state car page maybe. Maybe i'll post some of my settings in my current save.

Not now though.

Hi could any of ya'll help me? I need a drift setting for the Lancer 3 or any 4wd cars, because with my current setting my car cant go into a drift as easily as it would like a frwd car .

Any help is apreciated. :)

Oh and maybe some setting for FFwd cars to if possible im in iroha stage and that stage is hell to drift any tips on how to do this is apreciated to ;p thanks in advance.

Hey just beat the slasher with your mini cooper the way you race him is to read the bbs message that has a yellow (!) on it and ACCEPT when its shows yes/no.

I beat the slasher which is an FTO with my 133hp Ae85 Trueno easily afterward newer cars should be available to purchase then just buy a Better car. I got the Silvia S13 and the 350z was easily defeated.

hey man which one is the slasher lol and how do i read the BBS messages???? im new to this game
Go to your garage and then connection net, thats where you check all the emails, bbs and important info such as unlocking cars. (the only one i can understand :p)
