Sorry to bring this one back to life. But I feel I should say something about this game.
I love drifting games. I've got Touge 3, Battle Gear 2, Kaido Battle and Initial D. By far, Kaido is my least favorite. Most people may get into it, but I play all those drifting games in chase cam mode. I like to know where my car is in relation to the road.
And one thing KILLS Kaido. It's the chase camera. The in-car view is fine, but it's not the way that I play these games.
The way a normal chase cam (typically in a drift game) works is by letting the car swing on an axis central to the front wheels. The way it works in Kaido is that the car swings as if the axis was central to the rear axle. It makes drifting disorienting.
But that's just my opinion on it. I'll probably pick up the new Kaido and new Battle Gear, but I've got to save up first.
