(This is my first post so mind my mistakes)

So I was thinking of making a karting league for gt5. I want to know peoples thoughts and ideas about it(and if there is even enough interest in it). So here is some of my ideas.

- Racing will be held every week-2 weeks
- 1-2 Heat races that determine positon
- Races year round (must race _ amount of races to compete for championship)
- 5-10 race championship
- Prizes could include cars, paint, race suits, etc

These are just some ideas, I will be coming up with more later and feel free to post your own ideas.

We have done all the hard work for you mate, the ORDL runs a kart championship with races every week and will be starting season 2 soon. Check the kart thread for all the info you need.

@ Turbotwin01 - you should probably specify at least a ballpark time slot you're looking at, as scheduling is the #1 factor people find absolutely necessary to consider when thinking about joining a league.

For example, ORDL does not run at a time I can at all commit to each week. I believe it's at 10:30 GMT on Sundays Saturdays or Fridays (not even quite clear on that) - which is 5:30pm dinner time for me here at any rate.

Of course another issue is that I also don't join leagues that require me to join or go to other web sites in order to participate. I like racing series & clubs that do everything through GTPlanet.

So in other words, don't be discouraged if you have a good idea and the time slot turns out to be one that there's interest in and there isn't any other kart racing at that time - go for it.

But absolutely when starting a league or setting up an event your priorities should be to clearly define the following:

TIME SCHEDULE (days, dates, times (including time zone!))
CARS being used (like which kart?)
SETTINGS (race regulations, car regulations, damage settings, use of aids, grip settings, etc.)
RULES (clean? dirty? mostly clean? GTP OLR Rules? Rubbing is racing casual? In-game Penalty setting? post-race stewarding? etc)

These are all the things that determine whether someone signs up or doesn't.
