KaWerks Presents:
Tuesday Night Dirty Rally cross and Cat & Mouse event!

Welcome to the KaWerks weekly Rally X and C&M event thread, the home of some wicked car crashing action!

Cat and Mouse!

Description: Cat and Mouse is a team based event in which your team tries to get their "mouse" across the finish line first, by any means possible. No holds are barred, ladder rules in effect. Teams are 3 drivers big made up of one "mouse," a low PP car, and two "cats", of a higher PP car. Any odd players out will have the chance to be the "Tom Cat," a car with an even higher PP still who has free ran to help and terrorize as they see fit. This event is tuning prohibited.

Rules: Not much to see here really. Mice get a 20 second head start. Cats are to stay in their spot on the grid until this time passes. No going backwards on the track unless you are pushing a mouse. IE; no circling backwards on the track to hit people. Always try to maintain foreword momentum. Have fun, lots and lots of fun! Oh, and show up on time with the appropriate cars. Don't be the one that holds up the action!

Time and Location: Doors open at 8:30 PM EST. Racing starts when all teams enter the track or 9:00 PM is reached. Held in the KaWerks Club Lounge.
Cars:
Mouse:
  • Any car up to 320 PP
Cat:
  • Any street car up to 480 PP
Tom Cat:
  • Any Car 550 PP and above.

Winning teams pick the next track and races will be set up so that the last around 10 minutes in length. Cat cars must be street/road cars. The PP limit will be set first for mice, then for cat cars once all mice are on track. Please note that this means that if you purchase a car at 475 PP, get an oil change that puts it above 480pp, you will not be able to get the car on track. Cars that are above 480pp from the dealership will also not be allowed on track, detuning or adding weight is not allowed to meet the PP requirement. Tuning is prohibited.

This is a new series, the hope is to have enough people maintaining consistent teams to hold a month long season. In the mean time I would like to have teams picked by Monday night to allow for coordination between members. Since the fun is where the action is, team leveling can be done on the spot if one team is found to be consistently winning or losing by large margins. As such, please come with a couple of extra cars in different colors to accommodate possible team switches.

Rally Cross:

This is a simple game to grasp, one make and PP based dirty races will be held on various tracks, preferably snow or dirt. As is the rule of the night, there are no rules in this race, it is dirty as you please. Winner picks tack and car/pp range.
Only one lounge will be used for the event. As such it is first come first served for the first 15. Simply state your want to participate and you will be added to the roster. If things are successful and the bugs are worked out a bit, another room will be considered if there is enough interest.

Watch here for new updates and below for changes in the roster/teams.

I'm looking forward to this being a regular get together on Tuesdays - and the time is nice for me (EST) as well. I can't wait to run a few laps on Chamonix Main, or some gravel.

Moving it up to 520 to 530, or dropping it down to around 505. This will allow for more usable cars.

Yeah, I think there's more excitement in a variety of cats for sure. I wouldn't mind it being lower to be honest. Still plenty fast to catch up n stuff as well as push.

Yeah. That is the way I was thinking as well. Should help keep cars closer as well.

I expect I'll be busy wrapping and otherwise getting ready for Christmas Day through tomorrow evening.

Ok, So, 505 will be the limit, has everyone bought cars yet? I dont want to make the change last minute and leave people out. Also, who will be there tomorrow. I know its close to xmas and people will be busy.

I have five Mice (painted!) but only tried a few Cats.

I will settle on a set tomorrow - is 505 firm, at least for tomorrow?

Cat:
  • Max PP will be set at 515 pp
  • No race cars.
  • Street cars, safety cars and concepts are allowed.
  • No car above 515 pp can be used.
  • Detuning can only be used on cars if they are 515 or below from the dealership, but were given anoil change.
  • Cart at your own risk.
Well damn wish I had of come here earlier I bought the cars on the other thread!:dunce:

So, I am guessing that by the lack of flow on the thread here that we may not pull in enough to hold a C&M event. If that is the case than I guess we can figure out something else for the night.

post it on the main thread tonight at room open and see what comes of it we had a lot of interest last week but with christmas and all

Yeah, I kinda told Zer0 that I wouldn't do that. But I may end up doing it anyway, just to let everyone know of this thread at least.

I was doing more as a courtesy to brntguy how is starting a new GT3 style series on Tuesdays.

Going to try and make it tonight, never tried it but sounds like fun, where can we find the room when it's time, GT Planet community events or public lobby?

I believe it will be the club Lobby, may be public. - Sent Rally a note on PSN to ask.

8:30 pm EST. See posts above for Mouse & Cat cars (505 for Cat - dealer PP before oil change)

It will be in my lounge. Club ID is in the OP. I'll be starting up here in just a minute.

Thanks guys for coming out. Sorry it was kinda disorganized and all that. Trying to juggle the race and having people over last minute didn't go well. I'll be out of town next week so I won't be here for next week. If you guys are here and want to run an event I'll schedule it and advertise as such.
