KaZaA!!

Well, I downloaded KaZaA the other day so I could get PhotoShop. Well, I only had probably 30 minutes left (I'm on 56k) and I was browsing through the options when it said this:

This Program has Performed an Illegal Operation and Will be Shut Down

I was so mad becuase I had been downloading since 11 o'clock in the morning and it was now 7 o'clock at night. I got pretty mad and then I tried to get on the internet. Oh-no...

I deleted all the programs that came with KaZaA and the program itself but my computer still thought they were on the computer. And KaZaA still IS in the computer!

So now my computer is in the shop and we're gonna have the info on our hardrive transferred over to a newer computer after we get our hardrive cleaned up and fixed. I'm writing this from my Grandparent's computer right now.

So. I'm warning everybody...get KaZaA off your computer if you have it! And don't get it if you want it. It's free which means it's too good to be true!
 
Ouch! I've had it for a while, no problems.
 
i have it a long time now, and those problems haven't happened to me.
OThe only thing that happens to me is when i have Kazaa on for too long, like 2 hours, it will slow down my computer.
 
yea, it uses alot of resources i guess. I usually restart my comp. when i notice its going really slow.
 
KaZaA Lite for me...no viruses at all...
 
Had it for ages, can give stupid probs...
 
I hate when free stuff breaks. If you want it so badly go out and BUY it.
 
Then download it. But don't complain when something free doesn't work completely perfect.
 
Klos is right to a fault, though personally I love KaZaA - it's been a great source, not for music, but for music videos. No legal way to obtain those...
 
Yep.

I use iMesh and WinMX. Lately I've found that iMesh has a ton of obscure stuff that I can't find with anything else.
 
had kazaa for a while now

no problems, xcept that it makes this place run slow :(

yeah, that happens to me quite a bit.
 
I use WinMX although I'm not sure if I can download programs like Photoshop or games. What besides KaZaa and is good for downloading stuff like this?
 
I use kazaa for D/Ling anime eps. Fansubs are technically supposed to be freely distributed. I bought my copy of PS7, though, cause my dad uses it for work.
 
Kazaa stuffs my PC........and I download my programs with download manager off FTP's instead of other 56k users with super sized pings!
