Keep Your Friends Close; minor question

Hey all --

I was doing the mission 'Keep Your Friends Close' and I ran across a problem. After I defend the safe a bit and run around my mansion as an attempt to kill Lance, I go up on the roof, then run back into the mansion's safe room and kill people like it says to. The problem is that I keep killing people and killing people, but nothing ever happens. What is the event that ends this mission?
 
Does anyone who's done the mission have an answer to what to do once it says 'the mafia are at your safe, defend it?'
 
Let them take your money, and just go on and kill sonny as soon as you can. If you've got 100,000 or so, you've got no problem.
 
Assuming you've got over $100k you'll have plenty of time - I actually took Sonny out by shooting him from the side staircase (where the health,armour and guns are in the basement), so the mafioso were upstairs helping themselves.
 
Somehow, I managed to kill Lance in the staircase before going up to the roof. After that, I barely had enough health to kill Sonny, but I think I used the automatic shotgun and the Magnum pistol to do it.

Good, good -- but where is Sonny? Is he located at the white triangle in the basement of the mansion (not the first floor, but the actual basement)?

I've decided to come at it from a different angle -- it requires a rocket launcher and grenades. :trouble:

:lol: A bit of an overkill, don't you think? I'm sure if you used the Colt Python and the Spaz Shotgun you'll have no problems what so ever. Its quite an easy mission if you use a single shot = kill weapon.

Indeed -- I got extremely close last time (two days ago :D) but I ended up dying after one of the last men left in the house killed me. :rolleyes:

Needless to say, I haven't played since.

What weapons were you using?
 
I had 8 tear gas bottles (get em from behind the Washington VCPD), and about 70 rockets from hidden packages (only 10 rockets are need though at the most;)), to kill Lance on the roof i got on the helipad, through about 3 tear gas bottles and all were dead. Then I once ran too fast and over the edge of the roof, and i found three limos :eek: These are where the guys come from, so once you blow up those three (do it from the roof once all the guys on the roof are dead, with about two or three rockets because there are three limos) and then i ran down into the office, just in the doorway. I then used the rest of the tear gas and threw it down the stairs, this happened to kill the rest of the goons, then i aimed the rocket launcher down the stairs in the mist and fired like hell, until it finished. :) In the cutscene there was still tear gas left :lol:
 
The first time I did this mission, I only used the Colt Python. I stood at the top of the stairs and picked each guy off with ease. When Lance came out, I ran to the right, through the hallways and up the stairs (picking all the guys off on the way), got to the roof, ran onto the helicopter pad and again picked everyone off with ease (including that backstabbing prick Lance), ran back down stairs and polished off Sonny and the two goons. Best weapon in the game if you ask me.
 
It was too hard for me using the Colt at the end to kill the goons. :grumpy:
 
when do u get the mission "keep your friends close"?because right now the only missions i have are the porn ones and i dont have kaufman taxi or the printing press place
 
"Keep your friends close" is the last mission in the game. You get it once you finish the Taxi, Print Works, Film Studio etc assets.
