keeping up and chokudoris

when i watch all these videos i see the cars entering at a high speed, then holding the drift, and exiting at a high speed. im finding that when i drift, i hardly have any exit speed, especially on long showy type drifts.

im wondering if this had to do with the way i have my lsd set up, downshifting, too little traction, too little hp, my countersteering, or maybe a combination of things. anyone with any advice?

oh yea anyone have any advise on how to do clean chokudoris on the straights? after about the 3rd one i always find myself spinning out.

i find the trick to high speed drifts is a car that has great gripping capabilities with SIM tires. i can do nice, smooth drfits with speed in my RUF RGT. check my settings in the SETTINGS DEPOT thread.

what in the world, sim tires will never go faster as SPEED DRIFTING, check out my video thread on NEW DRIFTING VIDEO and watch the video, its drifting with the MPH on it and im uploading the ZZII on it with super soft tire, if you check out my video, you'll know what speed drifting is and the smoothness of a corner drift and long drift too with low HP cars, and plus a lot of weight shifting and FF drifting in Apricot hills, check it out, i want people to see and do the same so everyone in GTplanet can do it like what Me and AKina_86 do, if u dont like it then its ok, im not forcing you!!!!!

Hey Night_Drifter i have watched all the vids you have posted. They're good and yes i have lerned a thing or to from watching them .The standard of drift that you & Akina execute is definatly what I aspire to be able to do.I had my latest break thru this weekend when i discovered that the analog stick was heaps better to use for steering than the D-pad using a wheel & pedal setup must be the ultimate though.

Lol...They're just trying to sound like they know what they're doing..Chokudori is just "Drifting" from side to side on straight away's..just consistent feints down a straight road without spinnin or touching a wall or goin off the course....
And as for Learning from Night Driver...I learn what NOT TO DO EVER!!!..Lol j/k...

Don't you find it sooo funny how people only know like 3-4 words in a different language that only apply to one subject...Lol...That's great..Like they went to a site and saw the word and added it to their vocab

:D

hey shinez i never seen you done it before, plus i didnt take my time, those laps are just what i do everyday when playing games, i dont tend to try my best because if i do, then its impossible for you SHINEZ to copy it!!!

umm actually i speak japanese, although not fluently. so yea i know more then just drift terms. :)

a chokudori is also known as a swaying drift. go to http://www.teamrice.net and download the video of the drifter twins. in the beginning there's a clip of about 10 guys on the straight at the same time, all of them doing side to side drifting, or chokudoris. i went to that event and it was crazy. komatsu and chunky bai are pretty damn good. i mean pulling chokudoris at race speed is insane. and thanks everyone for the advise.

oh yea if anyone knows somewhere i can host small video clips i can try and post some of the videos i took at drift session. pretty crazy clips...

hehe you said "chunky" anyway, hit me up on AIM..Badcompany76, i can make your vids available for download ;)

Of course Chokudoris - Sway drift - Feint drift theres that awesome section in complex string to practise that.just dont keep your foot down when the cars at the left or right extent of the drift and make sure you dont kill the drift by countersteering off the weight shift of the vehicle as the front wheels pass through the center position
