I don't get it, how do you keep your revs within the torque band? In the middle of a drift, the revs would drop and I would lose momentum and stop drifting. I watch some of the videos, and people keep their speed or even increase their speed during the drift. I also notice in the videos, that the car is turning over quickly and even bouncing off the rev limiter. I used to use the Understeer ASM (yes i know im a cheater) but turned it off thinking mabye thats causing the problem, but not much really changed. What can I do to stay within the torque band?

What kind of tyres do you use? The power output of the car needs to be high enuff to overcome traction. Try using N3,2,1 tyres and instead of keeping the accelerator flat try holding it til it redlines or till you feel the the wheel spinning fast enuff for you to temporarily back off dropping your revs and then hitting it again. This will give you a bit of forward momentum to pull you through the drift without killing it.

To tell you the truch, ive never had this problem?, are you sure you've lost enough traction in the first place?, also check your Horse Power (make sure you have enough), and yes as "drift_toy" has pointed out your tyre choice is critical, and try settings posted and no issue should occur, and practice makes perfect ;). good luck

you must keep on the throttle throughout the drift. Not too much, just enough to keep the revs up and to keep the tires from regaining traction. Got this from the Drift Bible :). Tires are somewhat of a cause, but if you can get into a drift with a specific set of tires, you should be able to stay in the drift with the tires, unless it's like a high speed drift.

Hehe that was for the Hachi Roku right? Only applies to under-powered cars. Love that DVD, watched it 2 nights ago.
Yea i have the same problem that you have but of coarse I dont keep my revs up cuz i have a fear of spinning out due to loss of traction. Its a habit i must over-come.

It applies to any car with a peaky powerband and low torque. S2000's, Corollas, and cars with big turbos.

add more power or downshift when your rpms drop. if you have the hardest tires on thats pretty much your only solution. I dont reccomend a ridiculous rear camber angle as a solution to decreasing rear end grip, but different strokes for different folks I guess.....

oh and dont turn your ASM back on!!! you will be much better without it once you get used to it.
