I'm wondering what cars are considered Kei cars in the GT4, and how many races use them. Also wondering what the options are, how they feel, and what people think of them. Glad that it seems we don't have only 2 real Kei cars and more, and that we have some FRs it seems.

Any info on them would be appreciated, I'm looking forward to driving these tiny things like a bat outta hell :dopey:

Yes........ K....cars not Kei....cars.. anyways yea I think "pimp racer" stands correct....those are cars that are lightweight..such as the Toyota Vitz...and CRX...cars like that..

Just check out all carlists or mask-rider screenies for stuff under 100 horses...and voila! I'm not into K cars too much, they're too slow to be fun imho. Note that I don't mind their inclusion in the GT series. ;)

Vitz is not a Kei car. K cars have only 63ps and usaully 3 cylinder turbos. And there are allot of them in Gt4.

Oh well I just did a wuick google search and came up with light weight and not so powerful cars or something like that so I just put the Vitz. First thing to come to my mind.

Kei Cars have to fit into certain dimensions and certain engine requirements.

For Kei cars, I suggest looking through Suzukis and Daihatsu, they specialize in K-Cars. A few Hondas as well.

Suzuki Cappucino (EA11R - which should be familiar to anyone who watches/reads Initial D), small car, small engine, very light - makes it perfect for taking corners at speed.

It's more usefull to call them kei cars. For one, that is the literal traslation from Japanese. Also, if you say K car, people (in north america at least) will probably assume you're talking about the K body Dodges from the 80's.

yep. speaking of K cars....are they in the game too? probably not...right? i still have that old drag video of the big turbo k-car punishing a supra in a drag race. lol.

Whenever I hear someone mention "K Cars", the first thing that comes to mind is indeed more then half of the Chrysler Corporation's lineup form the early 80's all the way up til '95.:D Bad habit I suppose..:D

Keijidousha, a.k.a. K-car (or 'light car' in Japanese) regulation is pretty simple. Have an engine no bigger than 660cc, make the as small as possible and, voila, you have a K-car.

The Cappucino and the Wagon R, two of Suzuki's K-cars:

The plus side is that registration is cheaper than for a normal car onwards, hence the yellow number plate.

To answer the question, the Capp and the Daihatsu Copen is in and that's all I know.....

Yeah, K cars is Cappucino. I thought you were asking "Kei" like Kei Office S15 (Keichi Tsuchiya's car)

Except its an S14 I believe...

and it is Kei, not K... K is a dodge chassis :p

Any info on the races for these cars yet, or how they can be tuned?

I just recently watched a Best Motoring video with Touge Showdown 3, and one of the featured cars for the battle was a Cappucino.

Although weak, it makes up for it in weight and if properly tuned, could make a formidable FR opponent even in 200 Class races on a course like Cita di Aria.

I want to import a Cappucino for autocross. That short wheelbase would be perfect for taking on the tight cone courses we have here.
