Hello, guys!

Kelpy here! Inspired by AR12's "This wouldn't be an AR12 Video without any fun facts about (insert car here)", I've decided to share some more, technical and maybe pop cultural facts about added cars, separated between Playlist add-ons and Car Pass content, starting with Series 1 to formally introduce this mini-blog that I'm making. For Series 5's fun facts, I will be currently posting them in the General Discussion Thread per week, till I can cover Series 4 here.

To start things off:

Series 1's Spotlight Car: 2008 Mazda Furai

Most people know that the only Mazda Furai chassis burned during a Top Gear shoot, but here was what exactly happened during the aforementioned shoot:

• While shooting, the writer of the article, Charlie Turner noticed a blue backfire as the Furai downshifted. According to him, the Furai was making a "less Le Mans racer and more... a fatally wounded elephant"
• The Furai began burning throughout the engine bay, and eventually became visible
• The driver of the Furai at that time exited the car and probably attempted to reach out to a nearby firecrew within the runway (unfortunately, the car was on the middle of the runway, while the firecrew was at the end of the runway)
• Eventually, a firecrew was able to take the flames off. But, the Furai, here's what's left of it:

• The Furai eventually was repatriated to the Mazda Advanced Design Studio in Irvine, California

Series 1: Summer - 1999 Toyota Altezza RS 2000 Z Edition

This Altezza has two unique, custom TRD Parts, one of which I was able to confirm.

The kit on the image above comes from the TRD Neo V1.

The kit above is from the TRD Street Version.

Series 1: Autumn - 1997 Nissan Skyline GT-R V-Spec

The Skyline R33 was remodeled, with two Nismo bumpers (one of which may have came from the 400R).

As for its IRL facts, the Nissan Skyline GT-R V-Spec R33 had a special version that was made to celebrate the Nissan Skyline GT-R LM Nismo's entry at the 1995 24 Hours of Le Mans. It was only available in Champion Blue, with N1 parts and a wing with a Gurney Flap.

Series 1: Spring - 1996 Toyota Starlet Glanza V

Forza Horizon 6 has been the Starlet's latest appearance in a video game, with a 13 year gap between it and Gran Turismo 6 (as a Standard model, you know, the ones with blackened interiors and PS2 level detail).

The Starlet was the predecessor of the Vitz/Yaris that everyone knows and sees.

There was also a Starlet Glanza S which looked very similar to the Glanza V, but with no turbo, as well as a lightweight version without air conditioning.

For Car Pass cars, let's start with Series 1, maybe a bonus racer in the Series 4 Car Pass, as I am a fan for all things 1960s-1980s in terms of racing.

1990 Nissan #12 Calsonic Skyline GT-R (BNR32 Gr. A) JTC

While Audi got AWD banned from major racing categories like Trans-Am during the 1980s-1990s, Nissan in its own way somehow made a huge change in Touring Car regulations.

Way back when the BMW M3 and Ford Sierra Cosworth were prominently successful, Nissan in 1989 thought that it was funny to enter an AWD Skyline into the fray of mostly RWD and maybe some FWD touring cars under Group A Regulations.

The Skyline R32 in general invaded the racing scenes in Japan and Australia, with it winning 29 out of 29 races in the 1990-1993 All-Japan Touring Car Championship, as well as winning the 1991-1992 Bathurst 1000, much to the dismay of its competitors, Ford and Holden in Australia. Eventually, officials tried to limit it by adding weight penalties, to no avail and ended up banning turbos and 4WDs thanks to its dominance, bringing Holden and Ford back as the spotlight.

As for in-game appearances, the R32 Group A appeared as early as Gran Turismo 4, Project Cars 2 as a DLC car, and as a standard in the Grid remaster released in 2019.

2025 Koenigsegg Gemera

Very recently, one of the first Gemeras to be delivered had been vandalized after a week in Copenhagen.

1974 Datsun #269 Attacking the Clock Racing 240Z 'All Carbon Hillclimb Beast'

Attacking the Clock Racing is a performance part shop originating in Teves, Florida, though at times, it makes one-off custom cars that mostly appear at SEMA, and even at one point, raced in Pikes Peak through this 240Z. Shawn Bassett is the owner of not just this car, but also the Mitsubishi Minicab that got featured in the Time Attack Car Pack.

He entered this 240Z into the 2021 Pikes Peak, where he placed 49th overall, but 7th in the Exhibition Division, with a time of 9:19.475.

2008 Honda Civic Type R

The FD2 Honda Civic Type R is the first-ever Civic Type R to be produced as a sedan. Unfortunately, it was mostly sold in the Japanese Domestic Market, as Europe already had its own Civic Type R. However, when compared to the regular FD Civic sedan, both of them share the same body profile and most of its looks, so, Civic enthusiasts began slapping replica parts and fake badges to look cool.

Its widebody kit is actually the Mugen RR kit.

Bonus Car Pass car: 1968 Alfa Romeo Tipo 33/2 'Daytona' (Part 1)

This will be about its video game appearance history.

The Tipo 33/2 never appeared in a game officially until Forza Horizon 6, though it was brought to Assetto Corsa by Pasta, a talented vintage livery creator for free, homologated to race alongside the WSC Legends Pack, which brings a lot of iconic Group 5/6 prototypes into Assetto Corsa. The longtail version of it is available too.

Now’s the time for Series 2’s playlist addons.

Series Reward: 1993 Porsche 911 Turbo S Leichtbau

This is one of the rarer Porsche 964 models, with Porsche making 86 models of the 911 Turbo S Leichtbau. The rarest Porsche 964 was the 1993 Porsche 911 Carrera RSR 3.8 Straßenversion, with only 2 chassis being made.

As for its customization options, it prominently has a “flat-nosed” headlight called the Flachbau. Unfortunately, it is not really that common for the Leichtbau.

Series Reward: 2018 Lotus Exige Cup 430

The Lotus Exige Cup 430 has several OEM options.

Summer (20 point reward): 1989 Volkswagen Golf G60 Rallye

Volkswagen Motorsport entered the 1990-1991 World Rally Championship using the Golf G60 Rallye under the Group A8 class, with mixed results to say the least. The best that they can finish on was a 3rd place in the 1990 Rothmans Rally of New Zealand.

Autumn (20 point reward): 1998 TVR Cerbera Speed 12

The TVR Cerbera was once entered the likes of British GT and the BPR under the GT1 class at highest, but it was quickly rendered as obsolete due to sudden rule changes.

Prior to that, the Cerbera was once known as the "TVR Project 7/12", which garnered attention at the 1996 Birmingham Motor Show. Why 7/12? Because it had a 7.7 liter engine that had 12 cylinders.

Winter (20 point reward): 2006 Dodge RAM SRT-10

These Dodge-branded customization parts came from the 2005 Dodge Ram Daytona, a special version of the Dodge Ram that celebrated the 1969 Dodge Charger Daytona, especially with the massive rear wing inspired by it. Unfortunately, this was from the pre-facelift Ram, though its bumpers look great on the facelifted RAM SRT-10.

Spring (20 point reward): 2017 Mercedes-AMG GTR

Compared to the base AMG GT at that time, the 2017 AMG GTR had some cosmetic differences that were eventually adopted to later versions of the AMG GT. Outside of that, two additional versions of it were released, a roadster, and the AMG GTR Pro, with new canards and a rear wing.

Here are some interesting trivia relating to Series 2's Car Pass Cars!

2023 Audi R8 GT

This specification of the Audi R8 was the first R8 to featue a "Torque Rear" mode that provides an adjustable traction and stability control system for up to seven stages.

Only 333 Audi R8 GTs were made.

1974 Mazda #123 808 Wagon 'Fursty'

Michael 'Mad Mike' Whiddett may be a very familiar name if you play Shift 2: Unleashed, or Project Cars. However, he makes a surprising comeback in Forza Horizon 6 with the 1974 Mazda RX-3/808 Wagon that started his drift career. This car was apparently his first drift car, entering it in the 2004 New Zealand Skidfest, where he won.

While Toyo Tires Japan and the D1GP wanted to give him a Toyota GR chassis to play with, Mike decided to reunite with the Fursty, tracking it and restoring it to its full glory.

1998 Nissan Skyline GT-R Autech Version 40th Anniversary

Four-door Skylines have been produced since the 1957 Prince Skyline, but, the first Skyline sedan to sport the GT name was the Nissan Skyline R32, with the GTS-T, which looked a bit different from the GT-R, outside of the four doors. This Skyline R33 was built by Autech as a tribute to the Prince Skyline, with a very similar look to the R33 GT-R, but with four doors and some tweaking from Autech.

2023 Toyota GR Corolla

There was no such thing as a high-performance Corolla (if you don't count the tuned AE8x Corollas during the 1980s). The GR Corolla was the first-ever Corolla to receive an official, high-performance trim, though it was for the North American market at most.

As for its OEM customization, you can put parts from the Circuit Edition into it in-game.

Now, it's time for the Italian Passion Pack, alongside a bonus, past cover car. Starting off with,

the 1990 Alfa Romeo SE 048SP
Group C underwent a revision in 1990, where engines were mainly Formula One-based 3.5 liter units. The Alfa Romeo SE 048SP would have been the unused Alfa Romeo Tipo 1035, which was nearly made for a Ligier F1 car during 1988, but was shifted to the Alfa Romeo 164 Procar, which wasn't able to race because Procar got cancelled due to low attendance rates. Eventually, it received a 3.5 liter Ferrari V12.

Unfortunately, the SE 048SP never raced, as its intended budget went to the Alfa Romeo 155 Touring Car Program.

1967 Ferrari 275 GTB/4 Spider N.A.R.T. Spider by Scagilietti
This car only has 10 versions of it to have ever existed, and one of it, dubbed chassis 10479 was owned by Eddie Smith Sr., a very successful philantrophist, who then gave the car to his son, Eddie Smith Jr. who was also a philantrophist before it eventually got auctioned. Steve Mcqueen also had one of these.

2025 Ferrari F80
This Ferrari was made to celebrate the 80th anniversary of Ferrari. Based on the F40 and the Daytona SP3, this model is a huge throwback to the F40, with the black band on its hood being inspired by the 365 GTB/4.

However, there was an unofficial concept that was more of a design study by Adriano Raeli that went viral, and eventually immortalized as the Grotti X80 Proto in GTA Online.

The Guilia GTAm has this spoiler kit as an OEM rear wing.

As for the bonus cover car, the 2021 Ford Bronco has not just appeared in the likes of The Crew, and Dirt 5. It also will appear in the Ford Pack in American Truck Simulator's Road Trip (and not Doordash) expansion alongside the Crown Victoria, F-150 and the 1967 Mustang Fastback, with more of its trims. Hopefully, we also get the Raptor version as a selectable trim.

Now, off to Series 3!

Series Reward: 2023 Lamborghini Temerario

You could apply what I believe are parts from the Lamborghini Temerario Alleggerita into the regular Temerario.

As for the Temerario's facts, much like its predecessor, the Huracan, the Temerario has a GT3 version that debuted in 2026. Compared to the regular Temerario, it uses the same engine from its base model, but without its electric motors to adhere to GT3 regulations.

Summer (20 Point Reward): 1985 De Tomaso Pantera GT5

Its OEM street front bumper option was never seen in Forza Motorsport, without its larger "safety bumper", which may have been an alternate OEM bumper.

In 1984, De Tomaso also built the GT5-S, which was sold alongside the GT5. Compared to the GT5, the GT5-S has a sleeker, widebody kit, and the "S" in GT5-S stands for Steel.

Autumn (20 Point Reward): 2017 Abarth 124 Spider

The Abarth 124 Spider was also raced in Rally-GT with a livery being based from its predecessor. The Abarth 124 Spider RGT had a bit of success, as it won multiple times in its class.

Winter (20 Point Reward): 1982 Lancia 037 Stradale

The Lancia 037 Stradale has an alternate bumper, with rally lights.

As for the Lancia 037 itself, it once competed in the 1994 JGTC through Rosso Competiton, which was once a former Group B Chassis, although it only entered one race in the JGTC.

Spring (20 Point Reward): 2022 Lamborghini Huracan Evo Spyder

The Huracan Evo Spyder was offered in both AWD and RWD versions, though there is no performance differences between either outside of obviously the drivetrain.

Now, it's time to get to Series 3's Car Pass add-ons. (Wow, we're at 20 car pass cars now. I hope that the next 10 will be borderline insane.)

2003 Aston Martin DB7 GT

The Aston Martin DB7 as a whole had a lot of trim levels, and more significatly, one-off ediions. The DB7 GT is a sportier version of the DB7, which sported a V12, 435 bhp engine with either a six-speed manual (GT) or an automatic (GTA) transmission. A total of 303 DB7 GT/GTAs were made.

Now, off to the DB7's special models.

This DB7 GT Works Prototype, based on the DB4 GT would have been built for a one-make Getlemen's racer program, but it unfortunately never happened. Thankfully, this prototype was sold to a private collector and it eventually influenced the DBR9 years later.

The DB7 V8 by Works Service is a one-off DB7, with a 452 bhp, 32 valve V8 from the Virage and a Chrysler Torquette automatic.

The DB7 V12 Prototype by Tom Walkinshaw Racing was once a personal car for Tom Walkinshaw, and a prototype for a DB7 Vantage, that was designed by Ian Callum. Visual changes for it included a new side skirt, a new rear wing and small arch extensions. Unfortunately, this prototype was sold following TWR's financial struggles.

The DB7 Zagato once appeared in Forza Motorsport 4, designed by Zagato, whom then proceeded to design the V12 Zagato. It also had a convertible version, called the DB AR1, which was a convertible version of the DB7 Zagato. Only 99 of each were made.

1972 Nissan Patrol 60

This Nissan Patrol generation has been made ever since 1960. It had its own special, sort of militarized version called the Jabalpur Ordnance aNd Guncarraige Assembly (JONGA), which was mostly made in India thanks to an exclusive partnership with Nissan since 1965.

2024 Toyota Prius Prime XSE Premium

The Prius Prime in Forza Horizon 6 has two, actual Gazoo Racing parts up for customization, a minimalist splitter and wing.

1972 Honda Z GT

The Honda Z, overall was a lightweight kei car with a sportier design than the N360, or N600 if you count it as the same. It had five versions, the ACT, for the active, the PRO, TS, GS, and the GT. Eventually, it had a successor that was introduced between 1998-2002.

Moving up, once the FH6 Car Pass wraps up, I might also cover the Car Pass cars for FM23 (next, and prolly not on release order, but more on class), FH5, and FH4, as well as every DLC car that I can find alongside the playlist cars.
