Ken Block tries out a V8 Supercar

Ken Block has had his first taste of a V8 Supercar today, driving Will Davison’s Trading Post Ford Performance Racing Falcon FG.


The gymkhana and World Rally star sampled the V8 at Calder Park ahead of his Gymkhana World Tour in Melbourne this Saturday.


Factory Ford V8 drivers Davison and Mark Winterbottom also had an opportunity to drive Block’s world-famous Ford Fiesta.


Winterbottom said on his Twitter account that driving the Fiesta was “awesome.”


“Got to drive Ken Block’s ‘motorman’ car today,” Winterbottom tweeted.
“Awesome bit of gear. 0-100km in two seconds!”


Block, Davison, Winterbottom and a host of local stars will be at Calder this weekend for a massive Monster Energy Drinks exhibition at the outer-Melbourne circuit.

So it was just for PR purposes. I thought it might have been neat if Block was looking at trying his hand at V8 Supercars, although I suppose that would mean him leaving the rally world and I'd kinda hate to see that.
 
I assume he tried it out, rather than tiring it out, so I edited the title. And I went ahead and added a "Touring Cars" tag to the post as well. 👍

Not saying who, but one of our staff got to ride with Ken in the car today. I told him not to 🤬 his pants, but the word is still out on whether or not he succeeded. ;)
