Been getting this a lot lately, mainly when installing games/programs and nothing else. Can't do a system restore as that leads to BSOD. Can't install SP3 as that causes BSOD too.
Can't think of anything that would cause it. I think it started acting up after installing some old (90s lol) games and DOSbox, but I wouldn't think those would cause it.
It's just getting really frustrating - can't install some of my favorite games, can't update, can't revert (without wiping the drive clean, and I really don't want to go through that again). Only happens when installing stuff too (which is odd).
