I'm reaching the final stages of building my own rig, and now have a requirement to fit a keyboard to it.

I've opted for a lighter "mini" keyboard, since all it wil be used for is chatting while online racing... no button assignments used for driving. I do actually use a headset most times, but if I'm not feeling chatty then the occasional written comment is a requirement.

The keyboard size I have opted for is 21cm x 10cm which is ideal for me (small fingers).

My question is regarding a keyboard mount... I love this idea, but I really don't want to pay 90 bucks for this particular one:

Anybody got any suggestions for less-costly alternatives? Was thinking maybe a small TV wall-mount, because this is all that this looks like? Thanks! 👍

I did this with mine since I can't type and drive at the same time, I just pick up my keyboard when needed:

It just sits there collecting dust most of the time!

I really like the quality of the FST products, but there's nothing stopping you from buying on eBay or equivalent a cheap Chinese made VESA wall mount and using short screws to screw into the back of the keyboard or if you don't want to do that screw a flat plate to the mount and then using double sided tape or heavy duty Velcro mount the keyboard.

I've used different VESA arms for my iPad, Keyboard & old button box...

I reckon a swivel monitor stand would do the same job EBay $20.00. And comes with everything you need to mount it too.

I might look into that myself as well!

Thanks guys, it did seem to be a reasonably obvious answer to the question in the end, and one has been sourced on Amazon as it was 5 quid cheaper than identical one on ebay.

This one for the grand total of 10 quid including delivery, should be more than up to the job.
