i am having a problem with someone using my computer. i wanted to know if anyone has any experience with a keylogger or another program used to track what is being typed.

I dont think we can discuss this issue right here.

Besides, we never know what your goal is. You may genuinely want to see what other people do on your profile but keyloggers are a known way to get credit card details and such online.

Best advice I can give you. Make sure you have a password on your account. If you leave to use the bathroom or something lock the machine with (Ctrl + Alt + Delete) or press (Windows Key + L). Either that or log off your machine if you leave it for longer than five minutes so your not "hogging" the machine.

orange02camaro, not a good idea to start a thread like this. Only gets you in trouble. My advice, google it. Why are you asking us anyway?

didnt realize people did things like that. i dont want to cause a problem. i did google it. they are associated with virus's alot of the programs so i wanted to find a clean one. lock this thread

my intent is not malicious in anyway

There is nothing inherently wrong with a keylogger. It's merely a tool, you can use it whichever way.

Note that since it's usually used to obtain information by hackers, antivirus programs will go nuts when they see one and will say it's an infected file when it's just a legitimate keylogger. But sure, you may find infected keyloggers out there.

All keyloggers will make your anti virus go nuts, even you bought it from a company that makes them for family safety.

You will need to tell the anti virus that this is not a threat, in both the active scanner and the file scanner.

Yeah, when you google it, a mass of information about keylogger will appeared, it's really hard to find a safe one. I believe you will not use the keylogger in a malicious way, and try the parental control keylogger, many parents used it, so I think it's a safe one.
