KILLTACULAR

Yes, ladies and gentlement, 16 Player Halo is quite bad ass. The only thing better than 16 Player Halo is EIGHT STRAIGHT HOURS of 16 Player Halo.

I was consistantly in the top four, by the way (: The only downside to having so many people is that you're limited to a four map rotation. However, we did play some good capture the flag, king of the hill, various other team games, a bunch of Slayer, and a few custom games.

There was so much activity at times that it even lagged the XBox just a slight bit - and this was from screen activity, not network activity.

I get lags when just playing 2 player mode on legendary :irked:

Well legendary is quite active as well. When you get about 20 enemies with those green guns shooting at you at the same time, there is a lot for the XBox to think about.

 yea, you're right.. I'm looking into getting some more memory for it, but I think it requires a certain type :odd:

I don't think it's possible to upgrade the XBox. The consistancy of the console is what makes it such a popular platform for game developers.

I was told the easiest way to get a Killtacular is to play a small map with 16 people and nothing but ROCKETS! I'll have to do that next time.

So in the past year+ I've gotten my share of Killtaculars. I've even gotten them in 4 player games (: Not easy, by the way.

Anyone still playing Halo regularly? How about on a LAN?

me. usually 4-8 player LAN.

I did play a 16 player match ONCE. I was happy for the next month. :)

blood gulch, CTF. truly amazing.

16 player rocket match on prisoner. INSANITY!!!!!!!!

No doubt. You need to get more 16 player action, though. I have a friend who owns a game center with four XBoxes on four big screen TVs. There's big Halo going on most of the time. Cool stuff.

lucky prick.

finding other halo freaks is hard to find, and it's even harder to organize huge LAN matches with more than 2 xboxes.

Yeah. Without the game center it would be tough in my town too. But Montreal? Surely you're just not trying hard enough (:

well, I'm starting college in january, so that'll make it a lot easier.

Oh hell yes. Are you going to live in a dorm room? Most guys dorms I've walked through recently had doors open with the TV blairing and four guys on the bed playing Halo. Usually through the campus network as well.

Lucky bastich.

nah no doorm. Canadian college is a little different than the american variety. It's more like extended high school. In an urban setting like montreal, dorms aren't needed as anyone can take the metro (err...subway) back home.

still; innumerable hot chicks, lots of pubs in close proximity to the campus, and tons of videogame geeks. So it is similar to the American ones in a way.

wow, he is lucky I had an 8 player match going on in my house a couple times but 16 people? how do you connect the xboxs? router?

4 or more xboxes, 4 or more tvs, 16 controllers, lots of Cat. 5, one ethernet hub/switch/router.

No, not really. You don't have a "host xbox", and the "uplink port" isn't used. The XBoxes are just like computers on a network. Plug four in and they'll find eachother automatically.

thats good to know, I always used the uplink port for the host.

I play 16 player games all the time, just get the PC version. :)

I suck at FPS games on console. How the **** do you guys aim without a mouse??

16 players, rockets, with all the vehicles enabled (Hogs, Banshees, Tanks, and Ghosts) at Blood Gulch is ****ing awesome!

How can we aim without a mouse? Because they got the controls just right, I personally think Halo feels better on the xbox then the pc, the slower turning times etc. Having just got time splitters 2, it just makes the genius controls of halo seem even better. I've been saying this for AGES, multi player xbox halo is a JOY, give me 4+ player hang em high (custome game mode, start with pistols and machine gun, 25 kills) over anything ;). well mehbeh not halo 2 (can't wait) :D

Time Splitters 2 has one of the most HATEFUL aiming systems known to man. TS2 is a well made came, but ARGGGG, what were the devs thinking

"lets make the look stick have sensitivity setting 100000 billion"

You breathe on the stick, and it does 200 180 degree turns. I won't even mention shooting security cameras (weep). That drove me insane, so TS2 stays in the cd wallet until i get a kb and mouse converter for my xbox.

they're keeping that "beloved" control scheme for TS3: future perfect.

It's a system known as random aim, you may be on target, you may not! WOOO!!! WHAT FUN! THe very idea of an "aim" mode is PATHETIC, you aim 100% of the fricking time anyway :P, I don't wanna have to press buttons to smegging aim!
