I came around to seeing the Director's Cut last week and I really liked it. I remember being sorely disappointed by the theatrical version in 2005 but age, I guess, has helped me appreciate this movie a bit more.
Before watching the DC, I never understood the Edward Norton worship. However, with just his eyes and voice, he made King Baldwin IV come alive on screen. Incredible.
The only thing I didn't really agree with is the simplistic poor-righteous-noble-saracens. Saladin and his faction came across as too one-dimensional.
