That color on the 993 looks great in the autumn colors. Looks like a lovely day out with the family.

Also, those wheels look so good on the car
Thanks! I like it very much. And I am pretty sure that the color combo adds at least 10% more power to the engine 🙂

So I made some changes for the family cars/daily drivers.
I have had this 2019 Skoda Superb Combi since 2019. It has been perfect for my needs as a family freighter, even if the 1.5 TSI in this large barge isn’t exactly the most fun engine.

Would have prefered a 2.0 TDI. Anyway, it gets the job done, and the Superb is extremely spacious and a perfect family car. Love the Emerald Green metallic!

I decided to put it up for sale during the summer despite not really having anything else in the pipeline. It has been sitting quite a lot since my fiance changed workplace and now can walk to work. Figured I would drive some of my ”enthusiast” cars anyway in the summer. Sold it pretty quick.

After that I got approached by someone who wanted to buy my 2024 Cupra Leon Sportstourer.

Was not planning to sell it, but got an offer I couldn’t refuse, so ended up selling BOTH of my daily drivers without having anything else to switch to… With autumn fast approaching… I really needed a new ride!

Gonna miss those wheels though

I usually don’t overthink buying a car, especially not a daily driver. If my gut feeling is good, and if it seems financially OK, I usually go with it. My philosophy is that you don’t have to marry your car (even if a couple of my cars been mine for almost 20 years now… 😬) and you can just sell it if it doesn’t fit.

Since I really liked my Cupra, and wanted a plug-in hybrid again, my next choice was a small upgrade to the facelifted 2025 model. It is the VZ eHybrid model, a PHEV with 272 PS combined, it can go 100 km+ on a charge. That is double the range from the ”old” one, and about 30 PS more.

I REALLY like this car. It is so nice to drive, it is fun and I love driving it. Not my favorite colour though.

As winter approached, I also needed a replacement for the Superb. Making something of a forced impulse buy, I went electric and bought this 2024 Cupra Born.

Too bad the first owner forgot to order it with paint. So, I now have two colourless Cupras.
This will mostly be my go to work-car, and since it has been a really weird december in Sweden with temperatures around 6-10 degrees Celsius, I kind of just continued driving with the summer wheels. But yesterday I caved and put on the winter wheels with studs.

Don’t really like driving with studs, prefer winter tyres without studs.

Anyway, I am now ready for some winter electric motoring, we’ll see how that goes 🙂

I like the quality of their colors. Really cool presence in the metal. Most of the time I see them parked though.
