Um...Is anybody else having the same problem as I am? A while ago, when I got my new computer, I got Star wars knights of the old republic. Now I cant really play it to its fullest because the game will not recognize my Intel chip:ouch: , so it thinks my computer is to slow to play it:indiff: . I was fine in the beginning, then when I got to Taris, it would start getting all glitchy:irked: , freeze for a while and have me in some random spot:yuck: , then it started just force quiting itself:grumpy: . Then the ultimate, It wouldnt even load:mad: , itd just quit out!:banghead:

Now ive come back to it, and the beginning is still the same, but ive not gon far enough to test it out.

Thoughts?

Buy a used Xbox with the game.

Um...is the game new enough to work on a 360? how about the second one, kotor 2?

Im asking because I might buy a 360 so I can get forza 2 and Halo 3, so maybe if they could work, than, yay!

Some textures in games can tend to look strange and not work properly if they're not properly supported with your chipset - and occasionally in the worst cases, cause crashes. Many games for the last couple of years have needed at least a dedicated graphics card (Intel is shared memory, ie, a name similar to Intel 850, depending on your model of Mac), otherwise you may not get the best experience. The suggested cards and memory size is always on the back of the game box, so if your chipset isn't there, it's worth browsing the game's forums for people's experiences with their non-supported chipsets in the future. 👍

And I agree with Duck. I suggest buying the game for the Xbox.

Checking the backwards compatibility list, both KOTOR games are on there:

I played partly through KOTOR2 again on my 360 and didn't have that many problems, even though my disk is scratched to hell.

I'm resurrecting this after 7 years, yes. I know. However, I need help. Started up on my Mac and...umm...I can't move. I tried the V-sync thing, but it doesn't help. It's like the game doesn't see my keyboard.

Try one with cable.

This is the problem with gaming on a Mac. If it 'just works', great, but if it doesn't then you are screwed. Have you tried contacting Aspyr tech support? Is it the Steam version? Although to be honest I'm only asking the latter because if you say 'yes' I'm going to advise you to dual boot and play it under Windows instead.

It's the app store version. And it's not just a problem with the Mac version. Kotor doesn't like modern machines and doesn't play nice with them. Some have fixed the issue by turning on the v-sync, others, like me, simply can't get it to work. I'll check with Aspyr later. And I need to try uninstalling and re-installing it.
